Following on from a post I made in a different thread, has anyone worked out how this is going to work with stock levels? I ordered a 42" plasma telly from Currys at 12.01 last night, entered my postcode so it could check stock levels, and it let me proceed to completion of order. Egg's ts and c's appear to say that the item must be in stock today to qualify for the cashback deal, and i'm told that their yardstick of 'in stock' is whether the card is charged today (Monday). Well my yardstick is that Curry's checked online and my TV was in stock, and i'll def be expecting my £600 plasma...we'll see...0

Toshiba A60-157, wanted the A60-181 but it was out of stock last week, was back on this morning with a free printer but out of stock  . Works out at about £660 which isn't bad considering I paid £850 for it just after Xmas.2p off is still 2p off!0 -
I wanted to buy a new dishwasher and checked last night - every one I looked at was "In Stock". When i check now the same dishwashers are all now out of stock.
I could be wrong but I think stock levels may just have been adjusted to ensure not too many people get a good dealThe Daily Mail

As well as orders being cancelled, pain in the *rse, just cancelled my order - problems with card, rung Egg, no problems what-so-ever2p off is still 2p off!0

I received an e-mail from egg advising me of the 17.5% cashback offer for today, but none of the items I wanted to buy from Currys was available. I wanted a mini ipod and a Sony laptop, both items are difficult to buy at any discount, and, surprise! surprise!, neither was available to order from Currys./ Is this just a con?0

Yep it certainly looks like it's all deliberate0

I rang Egg and they said the same to me; if you complete your order today then you'll get your cashback in September. I don't think Egg will risk losing customers over something like this.Don't blame me, it was like that when I got here!0 -

If you ring currys they'll tell you it's in stock, but if you mention that you're doing it through Egg and it says 'out of stock' they suddenly say that it's not in stock! After my initial order I tried to order something else and everything I tried was out of stock!!Don't blame me, it was like that when I got here!0 -
Why do you all think there's some kind of conspiracy? It worked for me, and several others, so obviously it's not.0

I put my order in last thing last night. The JUNE50OFF code didn't work, I tried several times in several different ways. I ended up putting in a 5% off code, so only got £28 off.
Also, half way through the long process of ordering, it told me that it couldn't confirm if the product was in stock. This means that they may turn around and say its not. Lots of you on here have said your items were not in stock. This just said it couldn't confirm it was?????
All in all, i'm a bit worried, but I'm about to e-mail egg about it to see what the various outcomes may be.
also, I wanted 3 of 1 item, and it would only let me buy 2!!!!
if I was to order another seperately, then I'd have to pay for delivery again, so i didn't, i'll see how my order goes first.
I have recieved my 1st of 3 expected confirmations. It states the time of order as 23.50, so I'm definately in time!Anything I write is based on my opinion only. Before acting upon any advice from anyone on a forum further professional advice should be sought.0
