I can't help with your query on the missing GB's you seem to have, but have a go on this, it does give some interesting facts about photos.

Nowhere near your supposed missing GBs. I think you need to look for an app to analyse your storage usage next.0

Your guess is wrong, or at least not quite right.kwikbreaks wrote: »There are umpteen apps with that functionality in the Play store so I'm guessing there will be in the Apple store too.
Anyone can upload apps to the Play Store as Google don't care.
Apple, however have strict guidelines and thus the quantity of apps is much less. Quality is significantly better though.
So there aren't as many "cleaner" apps in the store, if at all.
Plus, you can do most of the cleaning yourself without apps wanting your details or potentially sending things back to the developer...0 -
When you plug your iPhone into the computer and launch iTunes how much space is taken up by "Other"?
Might be worth trying this: http://www.iphonehacks.com/2016/03/how-to-remove-other-data-from-iphone-ipad-ipod-touch.html ?
And are either of you using iCloud Photos at all? It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
The OP said he found one and used it to clean out some junk.anotheruser wrote: »So there aren't as many "cleaner" apps in the store, if at all.

2.37 GB! I've followed a few links from Google (including yours) but cant seem to work out what this data is being used for. It's worth me clarifying that I've taken more photos and deleted others since the screenshot i posted...
I was - I've switched this off but it doesn't seem to have made any difference. And are either of you using iCloud Photos at all?Increasingly money-conscious
