Hilton hotels are really weird. Some of them are quite fancy, while others are absolute dives.
I remember staying in one in Wembley many years back, and that was a much lower standard than my university halls: broken wardrobe covered with graffiti, and a bare room other than the bed and a coffee table.0 -

The Ibis 'sweet' bed is really comfortable, too."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
Stayed in the Hyatt in Birmingham, bed was 2 singles pushed together with a topper over the mattress.
Stayed at Marriot in Oxfordshire, same again.
Stayed in Holiday inn in Harrogate, same.
Stayed in Hilton Blackpool, same again.
Stayed in Many low cost hotels and have always met the same thing. Also a lot of times this is done abroad.
Annoying, but is quite usual. Can change room layout easy for all eventualities.
Only the posher ones seem to try to disguise it with mattress toppers0
