Not been able to find it in ages - definitely from before the four year gap in Polytar supplies ended. I switched to T-Gel original and then found that Mane 'n' Tail Shampoo & Conditioner was excellent in keeping scalp lesions at bay (and was good for the start of inverse psoriasis lesions whilst waiting for the Dovobet gel to do its thing). At a pinch, I'd go looking in the pet aisles, as their coal tar shampoo is a hell of a lot cheaper than the human versions.

Thanks. That's a brilliant idea about the pet shop. I'll try tomorrow.

I'm changing over to glass jars, too - I can get 6 of one size of the Ikea jars in each of two kitchen cupboards - and ma on the lookout for some large storage tins for unopened packets. All the cupboards need bottoming out, and then re-stocking with better organisation than currently. TP is down to a mere dozen rolls, and I've RUN OUT of tinned toms!

Missed what happened to kittie and why - can someone enlighten me?

We never got the thunderstorms (I love storms!), but got a decent downpour last night, and a light shower today, so it finally feels fresher up here.

    A xo

Another Polytar now Tgel family here (and thanking the assorted gods for Costco!) My long hair requires a certain amount of conditioner & I'm snicketty about my preferred brands, so there's a trug of bottles. The only catch is eldest son has also grown his hair long & is now slurping down "my" conditioner - I'll just have to buy another dozen bottles before he decides that actually short hair is simpler.

+1 for mane & tail - which a colleague recovering from chemo swears by - she thought she wouldn't need a hair cut for several months & yet Deep Moisturizing Shampoo she says acted like something from Harry Potter but more controlled.

In weather like we've been having recently, people tend to have barbecues, for which they obviously need food to cook on it.

I'm not sure I'd class that as "panic-buying".

Oh, I quite agree Bob. It was the original poster who called it panic-buying :) I surmise she meant people were buying extra to put in their freezers, for more than one barbecue.

Gotta be a Grade-A emergency if there is nothing to put on the barbie.. Defcon 1 and a COBRA meeting for sure... on a level with not having any hair straighteners :rotfl::rotfl:

I need to go through food stocks and see what's there and what needs replacing. More to avoid price rises really.

Its just seedlings Madatha, cheap way to do this is pea shoots from a box of dried marrowfat peas, if you use felt/ cottonwool over compost then slop a bit of cold tea to feed them when they have sprouted

Mardatha - Mixed salad greens seed or just lettuce seed make equally good micro greens. You just need a seed tray - or those bl***y plastic containers fruit and veg comes in from the supermarket with holes in the bottom) and compost: scatter the seeds cover with a little more compost, water, and place in cold greenhouse or on windowsill. Keep moist but don't overwater. Cut them when they're as high as you want them. Sometimes if you plonk the tray outside you get a second crop.
MrC keeps us supplied in the hungry gap season with micro greens (he likes to plant things, think he gets bored in Jan/Feb) and sometimes I swear because they're fiddly to wash but they taste really fresh and are full of vitamins and minerals. I like old fashioned mustard and cress grown on pieces of old towel too.
    Hope that's helpful.
