Not just county wide then. It's all over. I agree, it's probably some silly oik but I'm cross as I've had to explain to my girls what has gone on because I want them to have the facts so as not to worry about beefed up play ground chatter tomorrow. No child should be worried in their safe places.

Fuddle - I’m so sorry that you’ve had to deal with that. All threats against children are unacceptable, but this one was appalling. Hope they manage to trace the perpetrator. There are some foul human beings out there.

Bob - can they try different drops, or were they the drops you have to have before the scan rather than daily prescribed ones?
Lovely photo by the way, a very pretty cat.

It's probably some 4th years wanting a day off school.

I'm not sure. I'll ask this time next year, when I go for my next checkup.

They're the ones they use before the scan. They make your pupils dilate, so they can photograph the retinas.

    Thanks. :)

I am back in from 2 days away teaching (Birmingham was very well behaved & my preps meant the strikes didn't incapacitate me as much as they might have hoped) & two days desperately trying to get my laptop to connect. I'm a passable tech but every cantrip & shambles at every sacred site & them standing stones stayed stood stuck.

So I stumped home, to find my preps had been drained by impetuous hungry heedless teenagers & that today the only places open are for a few minutes and/or blighted expensive. So I will be eating porridge & challenging them to do the same. (Strange how they barely touched the milk.) The freezer still contains things that take time so I may roast something.
Tempting though the idea may be, all the children are too big/long/argumentative & anyway it can't be wise to roast your pension plans. Although given their dubious approach to the oven, maybe I should have hidden food in it...

Just got back from the hospital. Allergic reaction to the eye-drops.

Headache, sky-high BP, and borderline Tachycardia.

Advised to take Antihistamine and Paracetamol.
Were they drops used for testing or antibiotic ones? Recently after starting on antibiotic ones, I developed a racing heart and didn't know whether it was coincidence or not. It wasn't in the list of potential side effects :(

Drops for testing. They dilate the pupils, to make it easier to photograph the retinas.

The drops are called Tropicamide 1%.

Ah right. Wonder if they were the same drops they used on my eye to see if there were any abrasions? (I collided with a tree branch).
My racing heart was not till later however and I put it down to either coincidence or the ongoing antibiotic drops.
  • I've been on Iron tablets since my bout of Gastroenteritis (save for the 7 days prior to my Colonoscopy), and they have a rather unfortunate effect on your waste disposal system.

Consequently, on the advice of a doctor, I'm on two sachets of Fybogel per day.

Got to say, it's more palatable than Moveprep. :)
