Just bought a pair of "Sports Sunglasses" from £land.
On the hanging card, there's a picture of a man wearing the glasses, while riding a bicycle.
On the back of the card, it says "Not suitable for driving and road use." :huh:0 -
Hello
just catching up here. Picked some peas last week to take to our little grandson, as he adores peas. He loved them, and it was so nice to see him eat them. My daughter said how lovely they tasted and how fresh. I have picked more for dinner tonight for my dh and I . Looking forward to growing them again next time. The potatoes are flowering now so won't be long until we can dig them up. My daughter wants to grow stuff next time, and I have bought her a little book that was mentioned on here. I got a copy for myself too:) We will be in bed early tonight as we are going to be minding the little person from early in the morning to about teatime so will need to be up early and refreshed:)

I enjoy seeing my daughter carry on the gardening tradition as much as I like growing things myself. She has enjoyed creating her gardening area, planting fruit trees and learning to put up the harvest. She's enjoyed it so much that this year she built a chicken run and coop and got two chicks. DGD (age two) is eating the peas out in the garden.:rotfl:
It's such a wonderful tradition to pass on to the next generations. Very Prepper friendly!!Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Hi mila
it is indeed and we love that she is showing such an interest in it too. It is something we can share and she is hoping that the little person will enjoy helping out in too:)

I think all preppers should keep chickens
I loved mine. Very easy to keep and very nice eggs.

I prefer duck eggs.
They're delicious.0 -
I need to get a will made. My husband has mentioned it for the last two years. Thing is, he won't be the one gathering everything up and sorting it out to take to the lawyer.. Why I'm so lazy about this I don't know.
I guess I need to get busy on the Kondo thread and straighten out my paperwork. Ugh! Boo! Yuck!!!Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Evening all,
Remember recently I was speculating whether the WW2 bombing of Belfast was allowed to happen on purpose?
I just saw an interesting film about Alan Turing called 'The Imitation Game'. He created the first computer and realised that every morning at 6am the Germans broadcast a weather report that ended with the words 'Heil Hitler'. By seeing how this was encoded every day, they could work out that day's settings of the dials on the Enigma machine, and so read all the German broadcasts. They worked out where every ship in the Atlantic was.
However, he did not share this information with the services, but only with MI6. They worked out what proportion of German attacks could be thwarted without making the Germans suspicious and altering the machine.
What a decision, eh?0 -
Pity they couldn't have just invented sunk ships instead.0

Oh, yes, it did cross my mind that if we could have got ourselves organised enough on one particular day we could possibly have had a similar effect to the Japanese atom bombs.
We'd have to stockpipe munitions and aircraft and save it for one particular day, and launch the whole lot at once at every German ship, aircraft, & submarine. I guess that would have been logistically impossible.0
