Glad to see you all back. And Mrs L, I have never seen a post of yours that is abusive. I have also never considered the thread to be cliquey, even though I have probably only posted a handful of times in the past. If people don't like it, well, they don't HAVE to read it, do they? There are plenty of other things to read on the internet after all!0

Should have read [STRIKE]man[/STRIKE] person but can't edit under new rules?
Sorry if [STRIKE]any oversensitive soul's[/STRIKE] anyone's offended by my supposed sexism.;)0 -
Not offended :rotfl:, but I didn't know you couldn't edit posts any more?
Wonder why that is?0 -
Now I have to post to see if I can edit it ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Ooh! Here it is: "The administrator has specified that you can only edit messages for 0.5 minutes after you have posted. This limit has expired, so you must contact the administrator to make alterations on your message."
But I made a very short post, and then edited it straight away. How many of us could alter a post within 30 seconds? My word, this might set the cat amongst the pigeons ...
And the forum now requires we wait 120 seconds between posts. So I've posted too quickly for that, but too slowly for editing. Weird. Really, deeply weird.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Better make them short and read 'em carefully before you actually post in that case so that any alterations /corrections of spelling (my usual reason) can be made before you hit the button.0

Personally - I think putting posters on "Ignore" (and always making sure to do so rather publicly:cool:) is a bit of a kneejerk reaction.
I've not got nearly 70 (!!!!) people on "Ignore" personally. More like about 2...0 -

Well, I didn't have any at all before, but now I have two (and no, of course not you MITSTM).
It is worth having a look at the revamped (apparently) forum rules page at https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/forum-faqs?_ga=2.249176775.1741740360.1506802735-1293668898.1449351269
It simply isn't worth responding to these people. It only encourages them.0 -
