I have just placed an order at approved food for cans of tomatoes, veg, soup, marinades, pasta etc. Not all the items are out of date or near to it, sometimes it is just a change of packaging. For a saving of 50% or sometimes more it is worth checking them out.
I also have a musclefood order coming on Monday with about £20 worth of meat for £1 when added to another order.
Now the days are getting shorter and weather getting bad I am trying to stock up on toilet rolls, toiletries, canned goods and pasta etc so I don;t have to go out in bad weather unless I really want to."This site is addictive!"

Funny you should mention that, Nargleblast. I was just thinking that, while Baked Beans are a very convenient, versatile and nutritious food, there are certain circumstances, where it is probably not a good idea to eat a lot of tins of them.
A multi-occupancy fallout shelter comes to mind.0 -

it's a case of "We will all blow together when we blow"?

ramping up like nobody`s business. Cat 3 now, S of the azures. Pity help anyone on a cruise in the area. I am even tying metal stands and am turning a table upside down. Anything that the wind can catch from below0

It's been a lovely day here in my village, only 9 metres above sea level. Really warm if a little windy. Am concerned that next door haven't secured anything and their garden is full or carp that could fly around.Spend less now, work less later.0

I am quite honestly very scared and hope to goodness it veers to the west. I am quite honestly shocked that the media are not issuing advice to the public re securing objects. Everyone should be doing this out of consideration to neighbours if not to themselves and not just on the west coast. It still has potential to veer east and if it does then it will be catastrphic for many who still think they are out of reach
I have never ever done this before but have brought two expensive bikes into the house into the hall, if the detached row of garages go then my insurance would not cover the bikes plus re-building plus the electric tools etc. I spoke to someone today who had no idea about any storm, trouble is that people have been lulled by the warm very still weather. The met o is very badly lacking in all of this. So ok the models are changing by the half hour, so what, a bit of egg on their face is nothing to the potential
I am very very glad that I have good insurance for my non-standard build house and that we doubled the contents insurance. Anyone in a timber framed house for example is in more danger, all the ones in my small area. I am the only one with specialist insurance. If a cat 3 then framed houses will come apart. I hope that it loses energy as it hits land but Ireland, cork and the west coast will be smashed even so. Tbh this is beyond exciting, it is stomach churning frightening
30 foot waves, storm surges up rivers. Latest model, 50 foot waves southern ireland. God help them0 -
According to RTE kittie, it looks as if it's going to hit a bit further north than you, mostly Scotland. But they are saying that can change. To hit us here Tues morning, but they aren't expecting much damage this far east.0
