Just picked up a nice knife, at a Sunday market of all places.
It looks well cared for, and has a reasonable edge on it, but I'll put a proper edge on it, when I have the time.0 -
Full length tang is always nice - is the handle actually wood or resin with wood effect? Wondering if it'll get slippy/sweaty.
I'm not a huge fan of shaped grips - I find they limit the application of pressure in at least one direction, restricting the versatility of the blade (and I have girly hands) - but if it feels comfortable.Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.0 -

Work computer will not let me admire, but I'll presume you have or will fit a lanyard? Prevents some accidents & keeps a length of paracord handy...0

I spent two days recently wandering round our County Agricultural Show with something pretty much like that hanging from my belt! It was, of course, for cutting notches at the tops of the spindles I was making with the kids. No-one batted an eyelid, despite a heavy police & security presence. If I'd been one of my DSs they might have, especially the dark-haired, hazel-eyed one with the Father Neptune beard, but a small round middle-aged lady trailing fluff & glitter everywhere? I could have been carrying much worse...Angie - GC Aug25: £106.61/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0

Don't like the sound of that, I'm due to have mine on 8th October, never had a problem with it before. What are people reporting?
