Hi lillian,
I got my son a scaletrix it was in the Argos sale and hes had loads of fun with it. Its not consumable as such but it does pack away. Another thing he loves is his wheeled desk chair, its just an Ikea one but he lives doing his homework in his 'office'
What about new bedding set in favorite characters?
I got my son a white board and pin board and he loves those too.
Hope that helps xxNo one can make you feel inferior without your consent - Eleanor Roosevelt

Signs?!
Thanks for all the ideas - someone else had suggested Scalextrix so I might take a look at that
He will need somewhere to do his homework soon actually and we do want to do up his bedroom so maybe that could be a present - buy him the new duvet set and then say we'll do his bedroom between Christmas and his birthday. My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

A new duvet is a nice way of buying out a bedding set, I give mine a new pillow and duvet with the covers already on as its a good way of making a nice big pressie when theirs need replacing.SPC~12 ot 124

LILLIAN - when my youngest was that age we took him for a tour of the Man U stadium, he loved it, and it was very reasonably priced - he even got to 'lead the team' down the tunnel
A lot less costly and lead daunting that a full on match
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Oooh! It was our first day of early advent yesterday , a jar of pear drops ( rtc at end of last christmas ) to be shared , sourced from my christmas cupboard!
Santa mugs sitting on top of coffee machine!
Candles lit on the mantlepiece.
It's beginning to feel a bit like very m-early Christmas....certainly cold enough over here just now! Christmas in summer is all wrong anyway, so a bit of a cold snap suits the mood just fine.0
