Do BT have a UK based Call Centre number?

Hi all,
I've had a major problem with BT and my e-mail recently, with absolutely appalling service from their call centre in India - blatant untruths, promised return calls not made, service outage for over a week and absolutely appalling service from every single one of them I have spoken to. They have no accountability whatsoever, and appear to have had no service training at all.
Is there a UK based number I can call please? I've tried the standard number about 10 times and all go through to India.
Any help / information would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance

Thanks - will do.0

You could also use one of the other options, such as wanting to upgrade, then ask to be transferred internally.0
-
Or you could just leave BT and use another company that employs people in the UK
PlusNet (owned by BT) have UK only call centres and are cheaper for email
With the money you save you could buy a standalone email deal you could take from supplier to supplierbaldly going on...0 -
Thanks to teddysmum and baldelectrician for your replies.0

I made a decision years ago NOT to deal with companies that have call centres overseas- I would prefer to pay slightly more and spend half the time on the phone with someone in the UK when a problem happens
That's the reason I left Orange (EE) after 8 years as they promised to bring their call centre jobs back to the UK and then reneged in the promise when the merged with T-Mobile
I am with Tesco Mobile (who use O2) and the service is excellent.
Although BT own PlusNet their call centres are here and that makes it OK for me.
hy outsource more jobs than we have to- very few other countries do that on such a scale as the UK does?baldly going on...0 -

When I was with BT I asked about this and was told they tend to send calls through to the UK on a mon-fri 9-5pm sort of thine and first thing in the morning it's more likely you'll get through to someone from the UK as when the calls pile in they send the excess to overseas. I was never around or had the time (or health) to try this out but that is what I was told.0
