I agree with this. I miss my round the corner Nisa (it stayed open late too). Its really for things like milk. The local shops I have now charge half as much again for milk so its a bit of a pain when u don't get to the bigger supermarkets for some reason and run out of milk. I have noticed the lack of my lovely Nisa.

But agree about the 'near to bus routes' thing as well, and a park if you have a dog. Where I live now its 30 mins walk to my younger son's school, and although I love walking normally, when my asthma is bad, its a pain. So it depends on your health as well, normally I think walking is good for you and people are far too lazy now lol.
