Windows 10 free upgrade

  • I managed to download Windows 10 a few days ago and it was all going fine, but yesterday when I switched on my computer it said it was updating or some such and now I've lost all my bookmarks, my keyboard thinks it's American, all my saved logins and passwords have gone and I don't know where my files are.

I am pretty clueless so if anyone can tell what to do to remedy the situation (in words of one syllable) I would be very grateful. I've tried to follow some advice about the American problem but it looks as if it is set to English to me so I don't know what to do. HELP

    Hi Victoria

Don't worry too much about the "American problem". It wont be long before you have gotten use to it. This time next year you will be waving "Old Glory" down at the Courthouse on the 4th of July. :)

    What a garbage answer ..

Go to settings, time & language, choose "region & language" and then set all the settings to united kingdom and English(united kingdom)

The reason they're offering 10 for free is because its so sh*t.... and they want all your personal info.

July 29th is last day of the free Windows 10 upgrade offer. There'll no doubt be a last minute rush that'll break the Internet so make your mind up folks.

That's because they have to cater for all. Bet there will be the bewildered who will still wonder why they missed out after the 29th.

Just click on 'Do not notify me again' bottom left of the notice.....Or upgrade...;)

Remember the thread from Oblivion from the other day? :)

"I had never heard of Windows 10. Nobody ever asked me if I wanted to update," she told the newspaper.
    Move along, nothing to see.
