Can i ask letting agent not to email me but communicate in writing only?

If you are ignoring the fact that you are in arrears hardly surprising the LL is not responding. Though LL may of course be considering taking other action.0 -
I am NOT in arrears. I am aware of the differences between sections 21 and 8 in the Housing Act.

If they have some evidence of the 'arrears' I would insist they provide a copy while you're there. You could take along your bank statements as evidence of paying rent (blank out other transactions and balances if you wish).0 -

Am i able to sue a lettings agency for professional negligence if they don't repair something or does everything that happens lay with the landlord in terms of accountability?

That is a hugely wild assumption but nevertheless...
I have paid ALL rent on time and have all statements to prove so. There has only been rent unpaid with lawful deduction from rent for repairs that weren't carried out. I am fully aware of ostensible authority laying with the landlord but what I do not have access to is communication from the letting agent who work on behalf of the landlord and the landlord herself.
I have all documentation to account for every penny that has been transferred and spent on repairs that were not completed in a reasonable time frame that were necessary to carry out. I had telephoned Shelter and spoke with them about doing so and what letters needed to be written.
This is a wholly serious issue and I have not come here to waste anybody's time nor abuse anybody's expertise in this field and am grateful even for your contribution as these responses or accusations could come at any time i suppose.
What makes me think that the landlord and letting agent work together to cause this is bad reviews from letting agent online and the fact that at not any point in time did the letting agent ever say "I'm sorry. We would love to do the repairs but the land lord and landlady won't authorize repairs... We are just middle men"0 -

I have done so and even taken the written letters in to them but no reply comes nor do they seem to acknowledge what is in the letters either. It's as if they are trading from a position of less is better when it comes to admission of liability behind anything. Stonewalled approaches to consumers.0
