Same car on offer?0 -

Delighted to see you contributing to the thread, as we're from the same locality I was hoping you could divulge some yoda like wisdom as to how best to push the local dealers to match the online brokers. I'm happy with the deal as it stands but I'm always open to suggestions as to how to drive a harder bargain
They generally wont price match as they know you've got a trade in and they know those deals are "over the water" as it were.
BUT they should come close. I'd an Audi dealer tell me there were no discounts on the A6 at the time, and i said "not to worry, https://www.broadspeed.com will put me in touch with the dealer on the mainland who is prepared to knock £4K off and i'll deal with them instead for the price of a flight".
I guess ultimately you have to say it and mean it.
Likewise, is there any way of disposing of your own car to a dealer? Have you tried ringing a few Nissan dealers and asking to speak to the Used Car Buyer?
It may be that you'll just have to trawl around the local dealers OR be prepared to go to the mainland for one, and disposing of your car either to a dealer, an online buying site or privately.0 -
You won't really be driving a harder bargain.
Your car is worth what it's worth, they can't find value from nowhere. They only way they can add more to the trade in is if they are either charging more for the car they are selling, they are making the money elsewhere or they want to get you back as a Service customer and make money off you there, probably by telling you work is needed on the brakes to be honest.
If I had a 13 plate low miles Qashqui I would not be selling it for another two years.
A lot of DrivetheDeal prices are dependant on you using a specific financing option so that needs to be considered
Qashqai
The trade price of the car will vary. Some dealers will want to stock it, some dealers will want to pass it on to another trade buyer, some will put it through the auction. All will result in different prices. Also, some may value it at a bit more because they want the stock or a bit less if they are overstocked.
It might only be +/- £250 (although i've seen it a lot more) but thats £500 difference between the best and worst valuation which is as well in your pocket as theirs0 -

Aye, tried that and got some flannel but the difference in cost to change between the local dealers and broadspeed etc isn't that much after the servicing and accessories are thrown in. If there was no flexibility at all I'd go mainland and drive back, but I'm happy enough with things as they stand0 -
