I know what you mean about descriptions...I start with all good intentions describing in every detail and then reach the end and put barely anything.
The trouble is I then get lots of emails that I have to spend time answering because I havent typed enough of the descriptionThe happened on the last cheap listing day when I was racing to get as much listed as possible lol
*thinking* wonder what I could do with two emergency flash lights lol
So *boot* up your bum, you know it makes sense to describe in full lol
Now I've gotta boot myself up the bum lol0 -
I did it! Thanks for the virtual kicks! Mum helped a bit as I didnt know what some of the things actually were! Beer Stein anyone?! lol!
I have descriptions for about 15 items plus another 6 lots I've listed already tonight. Come on the 'Tart!!

..Meant to say guys - anyone up for this kind of the next year - for the whole year. Not just about selling on eBay, but becoming money neutral. I know ROZ_V has been trying to do it this year, and I tried but failed, but think I could do it with the eBay selling too. I'd try and focus more on building up Boots, Tesco and Nectar points and buy presents with them and reducing the amount of real cash spent. And obviously sell through the year - for birthdays and Christmas. Perhaps even only aiming for 50% - would be 50% more actual cash in your pocket?
Anyway, think I am going to give this a go - and will keep a thread like this to keep up with my progress (if lovely tine the board guide doesn't mind!) and anyone of course is welcome to join me! :T

*waving and jumping up at the back of the hall* Can I join??
I like the idea of reducing the "real cash" I spend on birthdays/xmas. I'm pretty good at the moment, but could definitley improve.0 -

Yay a friend! COol! Yep would be great! I suppose it would be a long thread of updates really but hopefully everyone can join in a little bit! For example, I'll save £16 by earning 2 pigsback cd wow vouchers and using them instead of money and boots etc and nectar points at argos, however inevitably cash is spent - hence the eBay challenge was born!
I cant wait for Jan now! got £110 on boots card so should do quite well with that!! :T

Oh yes, count me in!
Last January I did quite well by snapping up lots of gifts in the sales which I used for birthday presents but I would appreciate the help, advice and encouragement from a thread like this one. It's always easier than doing it on your own!0 -
just a tip guys - the new 'quick sell' form is quite effective if you havent tried it - speeds things up a bit!
Update:
Bought a large xmas gift today - phone, should have been £100, but some nectar points and a £10 voucher from Mum and got another £10 voucher back(argos is doing spend over £100 get £10 voucher back) (which will be given back to Mum) so got it in the end for £85 which I was happy with as I'd budgeted £100 - saving £15!
The telly I wanted to get has now changed spec and upgraded to some fancy new thing - it is now £552 - the old spec is £481 - not sure which one to go for , the extra £70 is just some extra brightness thing, but the older spec (which we have in our house) is really good - so what do you reckon guys - the higher spec model or the older one which is good anyway?? so hard to keep up with technology!!!
Pretty well sorted for xmas now, just a few more htings for difficult mummy - which will be less than £50 I think so will update my sig soon!
I have just listed another 25 items on flea-bay too so hopefully that will bring in a little bit!
