  • I've been watching this thread with great interest, as I was, up until recently, selling quite a bit on Ebay and making a decent amount. But I've come to a grinding halt as I'll be having my third little 'un next Thursday and I haven't got the energy to continue at the moment.

But once I'm out of hospital and the healing has started after the C-section I'd love to join in.

I wanted to be so organised for Christmas this year, but it's all gone pear shaped, but this thread is just the motivation I need.

A Big welcome to all the newbie ebay earn what you spend for xmas challengers.

Take care Tibbiemum - dont go overdoing it - you and your little one are what are important at the mo - do let us all know how you get on with the birth. We all hope everything goes well. xxxxx

Update on items sold - finally got paid for the 2nd mobile that I sold so thats another £ 46.27 to my total and also sold a dvd for £ 2.08 and also a friend gave me £10 for a £10 arcadia voucher that I got as a prize that I wouldnt have used and was going to ebay anyway. so a total of £ 58.35 a big boost to my total :j :j

Listed a load of things yesterday on half price listing day mostly more dvds and a few bits n pieces. But this dam postal strike is a pain I think it will affect sales over the weekend.

Anyway hope you all have a great weekend - take care - I am baking my christmas cake tomorrow - was supposed to do it last saturday but with one thing and another I didnt end up doing it. Fruit has been soaking in brandy since yesterday - so by tomorrow it will be ready to be made up and popped in the oven for 4 1/2 hrs . Wish me luck - its my first attempt at making a xmas cake xxxxxxx

    Bye for now

    Vicky xxxxxxx

I just want to express my thanks again for the spread sheet. You are so darn clever working out all the formulas for the boxes; I can never do that stuff.!!

It's been a real eye opener to me how much gets eaten up in fees and p&p; you end up with a good chunk gone, esp. if you sell on Amazon.

So thanks for taking the time to share the spreadsheet and for educating me on the 'real cost' of things - it's been fab.

I have an overall profit of £13.36 now that I've just had an Amazon payment, so I'm pleased and I have 9 items up on eBay, 2 or 3 of which should be reasonably well priced items at the end of the auction.

I'm so glad to read other people's threads on here and to keep up with all your sucesses.

I'm just in one of those warm fluffy moods tonight when I'm feeling an Attitude of Gratitude comin' on :D

    Have a great weekend everyone

  • Just got £20 boots vouchers from pigsback and a £10 voucher from sainsburys (for complaining about their nappies). can i add this to my earnings? or is that not permitted. just thinking it would boost my earnings a bit and i will be spending them on pressies.
    Nothing to declare ;)

Hi Newmrslockwood - great work on the vouchers. Of course you can spend them on xmas presents or whatever you want to, but that technically means that that is 'cash neutral' anyway. This challenge is for actual hard cash that you have spent - for example:

I've spent £75 hard cash and £25 in vouchers - so the £25 is already cash neutral, so I'm just trying to recoup the hard cash if you see what I mean?? Tesco points, nectar points etc I'd already class as neutral, same with vouchers, hope thats ok! :)
