oF COURSE ROXY, JUST PM ME YOUR (oops caps!) e-mail address and I'll send it to you.

Ok guys, got a dilemma, Mum has been de-cluttering and giving me some stuff to put on eBay cos Im quicker than her at it and she has been letting me keep the profit cos she is a total star and the best mum in the world, I know I could give her the money - but Id rather tot it up (her profit) and give her something at xmas - vouchers or something to that value to say thank you (rather than "Happy Christmas, here's your eBayed profits!!")

So apart from vouchers can you think of anything nice? She probably would quite like vouchers, but does that look like a lack of thought?

I think vouchers are a wonderful idea and your mum will be happy with whatever you do cause mums are like that. Why not get the cash converted into Boots vouchers and make up a poem to go in with them saying "thankyou and why dont we have a girly day out bootsing in the january sales" - I am sure she would love that - funds are always tight after christmas and she may just find something really nice to treat herself to.

Well done on your profit of £15.50 newmrslockwood

Welcome to the jamtart's ebay for xmas challenge brownjasperdog - your signature is great

I have been a bit busy last few days - have sold a few items on ebay and need to get the total profit totted up and will then need to update my signature.

Keep up the good work everyone at this rate we will all reach our targets

Thanks Vickym I know she will go mad and say "oh but it was to help you out" but her part of the profit is about £15, but I don't want her to feel ive taken advantage of her (which she will know i havent!) so i think its a nice way of giving it back to her!

Yes come on guys ! We can do this! Half price listing today on [STRIKE]flea bay[/STRIKE] ebay!! I've listed another box of stuff :T but its all pretty random items, i think things sell better when you've got loads of clothes or loads of one 'category' if you know what I mean, so tried to do that today!

How are you all doing? well done newmrslockwood!! Vickym good luck with the listing in the next few days! A few more items sold of mine tonight - few pennies towards the £250 i need towards the TV.

But in the words of Sally Saving's mum - the pennies make the pounds! (is that right??? lol! have a knack for getting these things wrong!!)

Vouchers are a lovely idea, as long as you make sure she spends them on herself and not on other people (as I tend to do!).

  • No one wants my stuff :( I think it might be because I have no feedback. I had to set up a sellers account in my mums name because I dont have a credit card (I cant be trusted with one lol) so all MY feedback in under a different account.

(Or it could be because its all tat  )
Christmas 2010: cashback £124.50, Tesco clubcard points: 4220, Nectar points: 1037, Dooyoo miles: 15770, Harrispoll: 2490
    Xmas presents bought - 6, cost £29.46 - saved £102.39 :j
    (just added up total debts and its [STRIKE]£1344.97[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£1174.97[/STRIKE][STRIKE] £1004.97 [/STRIKE] £879.97)

Have your items all finished?...did you have a high starting price?...or is it just tat lol
I can never tell on ebay, one week I had a brand new Nike jacket that sold for 99p and I expected it to fetch far more and then I had a childrens fancy dress outfit that sold for £11 (more than what I paid for it) so I think its luck of the draw alot of the time.
Dont give up just yet :)
  • Welllllllllllll I have now got over 60 items listed on ebay.....had an exhausting couple of days listing on turbolister every spare moment I had lol

I've still got quite a few boxes of things left of expensive treasured items ;) so I'm going to keep listing over the next few weeks.

Anything that doesnt sell the first time I am going to revise the price and sell at the next cheap listing day...hopefully they'll be one over the next couple of months.

I really feel that I have got a move on now with this challenge and just hope that lots of items sell :)

The only thing is while I'm sorting all these things out to ebay I'm trashing my house .....theres things everywhere :(

Hiya-I've been watching this thread now it's time I join too.I will pm you for the spreadsheet jamtart.Well i have listed my items on ebay usually i do quite well but this week has been very disappointing so far £10.21 in ebay fees and haven't sold anything as yet but have a couple of watchers so fingers crossed. Now I need to spend at least £350 on clothes tomorrow, then £300ish on presents for xmas and at least £300 again on clothes on the the 27december, I know it sounds like a mad amount for clothing but this is my explanation. At our house we celebrate xmas and eid(muslim festivel)- Eid1 is next saturday so I have to buy clothing for myself, then clothes as gifts for my mum, sis,& 2 nieces. After that I need xmas presents for friends, family and nephews and nieces, Eid falls again on boxing day so need new clothes for that again!
I will be pleased if I can earn back at least 25% of what i spend tomorrow for a start.
    Love can tame the wildest
