I set myself up a couple of days ago but didn't get as far as opening an account. Shouldn't have postponed it but at those rates, I won't bother now:(

I would not keen on this at 2.2% but definitely not at those rates.

I can't even see account closure on their FAQ! I've emailed them asking them to delete everything.

1.4% for 1 year is still at the top of the pile.
Phone support is excellent - no scripts and 24hr.
Atom use Callcredit ( Noddle) to verify identity etc.
Had problems due to technical issues at Atom with CallCredit verification but this got sorted out via phone calls; I suspect most banks would just have told me I failed Credit Reference and to go away.

Just opened an Atom bank fixed saver@ 1.40% and no issues at all, and a very friendly personable back up team as well.-This account is with the added saftey net of the F.S.C.S 👍

Checked my Satander 123 accounts and they are for me PERSONALLY now falling well below 1.50% after the outrageous £5 monthly fee ( I have minimal DDM cash back to offeset) Therefore Atom comes out fine, - ok who is to know what rates will be like 1 year hence but from what I have read they are not going to be any better - unless anyone out there knows/guesses different?

Atom Bank have been around for a number of months now. How do people rate it? The current one year fixed rate offering is very competitive.

Do people feel their app is sufficiently secure with your nominated account being changeable simply by logging in using a 6 digit code?

It's been fine for me with monthly interest paid as due to my linked account and the app working well on my iPad.

With regards to security, it's two step. If you want to make a change to something the app will ask you to provide one of your other credentials e.g., if you log in using your passcode you'll have to provide either voice or camera recognition.

I am totally hapoy with Atom, they have been helpful, approachable and human with their dialogue to me ( even offered me a marketing job due my old financial background - and I 63 !) I use mine via a Samsung phone and take a monthly interest from my deposit, a winner as far as I am concerned ! Well done Atom
