Post Office Broadband Problems

We signed up to PO broadband, supposedly £16 per month, first payment taken £182.45, rung up to sort out and disinterested woman on said we'd have to take it up with the post office branch we signed up in. because we didn't sign up over the phone she could do nothing, you've signed a contrat tough luck.
Thing is it was supposed to be £16 a month, nobody said anything about £180 odd.
Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Did you select the 12 months line rental in advanced? to save money in the long term.
+ BB for 1st month
+ BB one month in advance
That would easily make your bill what it is0 -
12 months advance line rental is £168, which would put the first months charge at around £180 or so.0

We didn't ask for 12 months up front, the rude woman on the end of the phone said because we signed up in a post office branch its their fault. No mention of 12 months up front on any of the letters they sent us.
Also were on light user tariff, we were supposed to be on unlimited, the service we've ended up with is not what we asked for or expected.
Any idea how much they'll charge us to terminate?
Its clear it's a useless company, at least if we can sign up with a new one we can get the service we need."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Bb is supposed to be free, I can't see where they got the £182 from, I suspect we'll need to use the courts to get this money back."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

£168 for 12 months' line rental ,plus £6.95 for the router would come to £174.95, leaving £7.50 to be accounted for.
Also, the contract is for 18 months with the last 6 months charging for broadband.
Was the bill £182.95, in which case it would be 12 months' line rental, router costs and a £7 anytime phone call charge ?0 -
It was £182.45, all turned into a disaster, we trusted the good name of the post office, and they ripped us off"Love you Dave Brooker! x"

I don't think you have been ripped off, if in fact you have been charged for a years line rental in advance, you will have in fact saved money. I suspect the subsequent months bills will be very small indeed.
I suspect that the advance line rental option was selected when the application was made.0 -
