  • I have had to throw all my nail varnishes out as I have been told that I am allergic to them by my doctor. I am doing some research into natural nail polishes has anyone tried any, zoya or little ondine? I don't want to pay £10:eek: a bottle if its not good, online there are mixed views so im a tad confused. In the meantime I am using cuticle oil to make them look shiny but its not the same as nail polish. :(

Apart from throwing the nail polishes out I have had no INs or UUs. My LE eyebright is spluttering away so that should be gone next month.

I have been using Zoya polishes for years, for me they apply well and last OK, it is probably my application, but no brand of polish lasts for more than 3 or 4 days on my poor nails. (Just looked and I have 13 Zoya polishes, unlucky number, perhaps that means that I should buy another one:rotfl:

Sorry to hear about the allergy. What in particular were you allergic too? I'd like to know so I can avoid it as well x

    Oh no!

I really like Zoya polishes, though I don't have any, I've just used friends ones. What is different about them out of interest?

Nail buffers are great for bare, but shiny beautiful nails. I use them a lot in the winter (skiing chips polish and breaks nails very quickly!) and get lots of compliments.

Edit: just found this article - http://www.reneenaturally.com/blog/natural-alternatives-conventional-nail-polish
looks like Butter London are similar to Zoya polishes in terms of ingredients, and I love that brand! On sale in Boots too to check out colours - and lots of reduced prices on their own website including mini versions for £3, which might be good to try them... http://www.butterlondon.co.uk/sale#sort3
Edit 2: I reeeeeeeeeaaaaaaally should not have looked at that Butter London sale, I want all of it! Some great gift sets in there. I have friends birthdays coming up, I might need to do some shopping :)

Buffing the nail makes any nail polish look better anyway as the nails are smooth before they get painted., so more shiny:)

2 INs. Went into Manchester today. Bought 100ml bottle of Pixi Glow Tonic. Will buy full sized when I see them on offer. Also went into new LUSH store which is now selling makeup. Bought lipstick called Trusted. Wish I had bought an Intergalactic bomb as they smelt so good.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

    Body Shop Mango Gel
    Avon Original Bath Oil

Discover this in boot. Its a non soap bar for the face and should last longer than cleanser and quite inexpensive!

Gemzie, I know I shouldn't ask but feel drawn like a moth to a flame : What's a Lush Group?

Its a facebook group for doing group orders so loads of us put our orders in and the idea is if you buy more than one item from the kitchen in a week it would save you on postage compared to ordering from lush yourself, as the person orders all our stuff in one go and the postage savings gets passed onto us as they put our stuff into one box and send it altogether to us. She can hold weeks of orders for you too and send it when you want it sending to save further on postage (i had 5 weeks worth in one box - i had to wait of course but it was worth it to save the postage!) Plus its hard to get some kitchen items as they go very very fast - the magic mushroom bubble bars last week sold out in 20 minutes i think it was! But sophie always manages to get everything, dont know how she does it!! Shes never miseed an item yet! & it just takes the stress out of getting up at 8am and ordering stuff yourself too. Think its cost of items ordered + £1 towards lush postage for each day you order an item + the postage to you. Does work out much cheaper if you like to try lots of kitchen stuff. Dont want to enable though. :o If you do a search for the group 'sophie's lush kitchen group orders' or something like that! on facebook its that one, she should be able to explain it properly to you as to how it all works. Theres a new kitchen menu every week each friday but she can also order regular items to be sent in your parcel too (like the 93000 miles jelly i ordered).

    2 uu to report:

Aldi dentitex cool mint mouthwash- WMBA this was fine, did the job, although the lid was a bit leaky! Good price though!

Vaseline aloe fresh spray deodorant- WBA really like the smell of this - lovely and fresh. This does a great job and lasted ages as it was a large can!
