Vodafone not receiving text from EE

Hi

Im with Vodafone and just discovered Im not receiving some texts from my friends (5) who are with EE. Occasionally they do come through but if 4 are sent at once, I might get 2 of them.

Ive spoken to Vodafone chat who said there isnt a problem with the network or on my account.

Ive re-started the phone and also changed network settings from Vodafone then back to Vodafone but its not sorted the problem out.

Anyone else having this problem or have any ideas how to sort it as its very frustrating and friends think I'm being ignorant

Thanks

Jo

Sometimes it's the phone, not the network. Often I get no messages at home but as soon as I leave the house I get loads. My issue is caused by the phone 'struggling' as outside it's 4G, inside it's 2G and I have an iPhone.

Yes, move to another network or get your friends to download what whatsapp (or other app) and use that.

A little extreme but it solves the issue if your part way through a contract.

2G/3G/4G all make no difference to sms (text messages).
Whatsapp and Viber both work well.

Erm, yes it does. Band switching is a well known issue that causes data stop and dropped calls.

As i mentioned earlier possibly a fault at EE's end. Specifically the texts getting stuck somewhere on their network before they are passed onto the Vodaphone network.
