The only problems I could see would be that there would need to be a suitable package for you to use the phone overseas. Yes you can use Wifi in many places without touching your own paid for data, but it doesn't mean the wifi is always secure or safe and I'd be worried about hooking up with just any wifi and risking your data security which is the last thing you want just because you thought you'd fill 5 minutes by flying through a twitter/facebook feed. It's up to you to check you're joining a safe and secure wifi (eg that from the hotel not something which is pretending to be the hotel and not just hooking up with any wifi going free where you so happen to be sitting that afternoon).
4G in lay-man's terms is internet access at a faster speed than 3G. But you'd need to pay for data in most cases and if you are using it abroad it often costs more.0 -
