Fantastic. I signed up to BT 6 months ago got quidco and a £100 sainsbury voucher. Moved to plus net last month and got quidco. Now I can move back to BT and get more quidco and more vouchers.

Did you have to pay BT for the home hub as you left before the end of your contract? I understood they can charge for that as it's a deferred payment rather than a penalty (semantics really but there you go).

No they broke the contract, not me so got to keep it, sold on ebay
  • Hi,

As a result of this price rise I'm thinking of taking the opportunity to leave Plusnet and take advantage of the BT fibre deal that runs out tomorrow night (as mentioned in the latest email).

My question is: Do I qualify? The email states "existing BT broadband customers are ruled out..." and so does the BT website that the supplied link (in the email) takes you to.

Plusnet is owned by BT, and I can't find an answer to my question anywhere.

    Ta.

Plusnet is not BT. Still a separate company.

So yes, you can take advantage of new customer deals as you are not an existing BT customer.

At the same time as PlusNet informed me of their price increases they also automatically offered me a promotional deal of £5 per month discount from my bill for 18 months (if I signed up for a new 18 month contract.)

I'm 12 months into my current 18 month contract with Plusnet and having switched from BT 12 months ago I don't particularly want to move again.

So £5 per month discount for 18 months is attractive. However, I can't help wondering if it's too good to be true! am I missing something?

Has anyone else looked at this deal?

I got £5 off with Plusnet for 18 months when I called - made it not worth switching (excepting cash back etc).
