I think that part of the problem is that we don't really know what the issues will be. I do however know that we can either come out this head held high and take control or we can be left divided I really think that we are at risk of talking ourselves into a downturn.

Who will take control? The politicians who backed the leave campaign have backtracked or gone into hiding - they appear to have had no plan of what to do if they won.

The country is divided by this whether we like it or not - NI and Scotland voted to stay and Wales and England voted to leave, those are the facts. How do we get past this? I honestly have no idea - this is a massive crisis for the UK as a whole.

Convenient escape clause there. If the economy tanks, it's because we "talked ourselves into it".

Once again you are completely ignoring the points I made and in fact once again are winning my argument for me - you have clarified that Non-EU cannot freely move into the UK and there is a possiblity that once the UK leaves the EU there will be additional restrictions on EU members entering the country (this as you have said yourself in another thread is what you voted for). This just reinforces what I said about the border and the security/customs/border controls that will have to be implemented.

Your last sentence betrays how you view NI and gives the impression you couldn't care one jot if NI (or I suspect Scotland) left the UK and the UK essentially ceased to exist. BREXIT has been a victory for English nationalists and nobody else.

try rereading my post about entry of non EU from the republic
and research what used to happen before the Republic joined the EU

I think that if the people of NI freely wish to join the republic and the people of the republic wish them to joint, then I wish them well.
    Why don't you?

Ok i've had enough of you putting words into my mouth and twisting everything I have said while also ignoring and not responding to any of the points I have made. I'm assuming that 30,000+ posts you have made on this forum have been in a similar vein. It sadly seems impossible to have a reasonable debate with you without you resorting to that. Good luck to you.

Its no "get out clause" this is a massive opportunity and we have to make the most of it. We can sit here a wail in the injustice or we, the collective "we " can make the most of it. People can talk themselves into a down turn. They get frightened, stop spending, slows the economy, jobs become insecure because of the lack of spending, and thus it spirals down. Almost self perpetuating.

Why not make sure that we have good trade terms. Not just special trade terms for the EU but special terms with the EU and the rest of the world. More places we can trade with. More exports.

We are divided by our own making. I have always voted in the elections and never once has by vote changed the politician representing me. I have had to take it on the chin each and every time. But I made the best of it. So why carn't "we".

I honestly think that in 5 years from now we will be on the this forum reminiscing and laughing about how funny it was when we where worried. Lets be honest everyone is worried, No one really likes change but change can be good.

I have learnt all I needed to know about you from the nature of your responses. Enough to know there is no point in trying to have a meaningful discussion or debate with you as you completely ignore any points being made that you find difficult to respond to and instead twist what has been said to try and win the debate that way. Good luck to you like I said, can't make you too popular here but it's certainly an effective strategy to end debates. I have no desire to waste anymore time discussing anything with you.

    Aha! You've been 'claptoned'.
    claptoned
    Phonetic: /klaptont/
The act of getting caught up in replying to a never ending torrent of inane dribble, so tedious and boring, realising you should have stuck to a more rewarding activity like talking to your curtains.
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Ha! Yes it appears that in my first real 'dipping my toe into the waters' of this forum I have accidently been claptoned. I should have realised what was happening as soon as he indicated that I had said the 'Troubles' had been started by the EU which was perhaps the most ridiculous thing I had ever read. My own fault for continuing past that. Lesson learnt, move on.
