Bossy.. hope your Sparkle turns up soon ;)

OH is outside bush mincing... grass is getting it next I guess.. one of the guys he was at college with is working across the road.. cue lots of gabbing!!

    I really need a sleep.

Twinkle is fed and de-smelled.. and back to sleep... due date number 1 today.. she was only a little early!

my house appears to be full of flies.. I loathe flies... it's always like this in summer, I don't even know why.. but it's gross.

Nearly time to pick up Squeak.. I was going to suggest wearing the naughties out in the park but it's got really cloudy :(

    Flying visit (pun intended)

Thanks for birthday wishes. Have no kitchen  no sign of electrician and plasterer cannot do his stuff until after electrician done his. Oh dear. Lol.

    Happy birthday.

Hope your services resume. I'm happy to report the aga is now alive again - he had to build a new motor which will be around the £450 mark but if it lasts as long as the old one I won't be alive to see its demise.

Haven't done much in the way of flying. Went to town to get a birthday card for my brother, got a couple of things from Mr S. Then have been doing research in preparation for unusual assessment tomorrow.

May go out and prune a few shrubs now.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Oh Pigpen those photos are stunning, like a magazine cover.

Happy birthday Bossy. Sounds like wine might be better than tea!

BM I will never again buy a house that needs work doing to it. I cant ever remember a time when we didnt have a project ongoing or mess/tools/dust sheets in the house somewhere. By the time we get this place finished we will be moving on.

So today has gone pear shaped. DS2 texted to say he was finishing his work experience day at 3pm. DS1 finishes work at 5pm so not really fair to leave DS2 milling about in town for 2 hrs. This meant I had to cancel my visit to job no. 2.

Came home to find dw needing emptying, beds unmade, kitchen bin full, bathroom filthy, dog hairs everywhere, washing to hang out. Considering DH was at home when I left for work this morning would it really have been unreasonable to expect him to do one of these tasks?

So I have just whizzed round with the hoover and duster, washed the bathroom floor, hung out the washing and emptied the dw. Going to get tea going then back into town to collect DS1 for 5pm. DS2 is supposed to be at cricket practice at 6.30pm but unless DH takes him I might have to say no for once. I am going to have to fire up the laptop and do some paid stuff at some point.

Aggh YL I feel your pain. I stayed at a pal's one night last week for a girls' evening, leaving DH in charge. I got back at 9.30 the following morning, and absolutely nowt had been done. Considering he had been up since 6 with DS I wonder what on earth he had been doing all that time....

Bossy - anything I can do to help? Given that we have ascertained we live close, if I can help in any way just shout.

Had a bit of a sort out today. Can any Flyladies make use of an age 3-4 Elsa dressing up dress? Or some size 9 Clarks navy girls school shoes for September? Both in excellent condition. If so PM me and I will gladly post out :)

Right, both small people are back home and are watching Peppa Pig. I have the tennis on. Doing a freezer use up to try and keep spends low this week, with DH being self-employed and some of his contracts reliant on EU funding we are tightening our belts.

Just about to put the kettle on so we can have tea (pasta), DD is now finally somewhere between getting off the bus and home. Next book collection day she won't be in school so not too bad I suppose.

Talking of sparks I've just had a text from the landlady's asking if he can come and test the electrics on Monday. I rang and asked how long he'd be and he said about an hour. Sooooo rather than put it off until Tuesday when DD is off for the NUT strike (tweet, text and letter on the school website within a few minutes of each other today to inform us) I've arranged for Monday 10am, forewarned him my dog has a dislike for men so I need to get him sorted (aka, put outside if its not raining with his toys, water & a treat) and he's text to confirm.

I best shift myself. All I've managed today is work, wash up and a bath. I must do better this weekend!!!
