Do the back brakes work, that might explain why you rolled into the Vectra.

Thought it may have been the beemer, anyways the age of the cars and the damage on the vectra (looks to me like it will polish out), ya best offer the 3rd party a good drink and repair your own car, as they both could be deemed beyond economical repair.

Thank you for all the replies. I have an update. I took my car out today to the shops and my wheel alignment is completely off. The steering wheel is 45 degrees to the right for the car to go in a straight line! This means the other party must have hit my front right tyre first (as it was pointing out) which explains the scratch on his rear passenger side door. I had a look at the pic and see 2 scuffs on the front of his car. How can I add pictures here to show you all?

If your steering was damaged this much in this collision I would expect his bumper to be hanging off and you certainly would have felt the impact. Next time you pull out into traffic check your mirror first, not after you have started the manoeuvre.

Please tell me that you didn't need to drive your car before you noticed that the steering and/or one of the front wheels was so damaged that the steering wheel was 45 degrees from where it should be.

After mirror, look over shoulder for that blind spot.

I had a similar accident when I was driving a work van.

It was settled as 100% fault of the person pulling out into moving traffic.

The woman stated I "came flying along the road" "came out of nowhere" but my tracker showed 21mph.

so too fast for the conditions then ? :rotfl:
