I was meant to be switching to SSE Ultra Fibre and Calls at £21 a month from TT Simply Broadband and No Calls at £17.70 a month. The order all went through and I received notice from TT my services with them were ending but I thought I'd call TT because of the bad reviews I was reading for SSE?

I was offered Fibre Large, free for 12 months (£17.70 a month then goes up to £32.70 and free connection on an 18 month contract) and it's rock solid much like the ADSL was so maybe see what they can offer you.

Even if you put in a switch request so they know you're serious you can always cancel it like I did, it might give you a better chance of the best deals.

TT CS can be shambolic but I've personally always found the actual services as good or even better than as anyone else that I've been with.

    Good luck!
Thanks - that looks reasonably promising - I will try for the same
I have found TT's infrastucture good - I have now gone over 12 months without a single break in my fibre service - my fibre has been steady at 70Mbps for that time as well
I learned pretty quickly not to turn my router off - the speed dropped dramatically when I did - and now it stays on 24/7 !
I am going to try for free fibre large for 12 months - how did you get away with £32.70 as the on-going cost ?
    I am already paying £40 !!
CS is abysmal - they rely on foreign staff - that NEEDS to change to restore confidence in support..

    Give it a go!

I don't know why I was offered an ongoing price of £32.70 after 12 months, that's just what I was offered.

Their CS stinks but I haven't had any problems with their billing or services, I can only ever recall having one very short outage of around 20 minutes one morning which was not specific to my connection in all the time I had their ADSL service,

Upto now I get very consistent speeds of around 57Mb (maximum estimate was 60Mb) and upload is consistently around 19Mb. Only switched over on Monday past and it all went through on time and smoothly.

I never, ever turn my Router off!

    Talktalk offer the best value.
I don't think their CS is poor. The staff are always polite and sort out any issues I raise.

I also think that the level of service from TT Customer support is terrible.3 months ago they offered me the film package free for one month,i went on line and cancelled it before the month was over but was charged for it next month, phoned up and complained and was told it would be sorted.charged again the next month, phoned again and the person on the phone said " i am cancelling all your tv extras " there goes my Sky sports which i wanted to keep however it was better than being charged for something i did not have.
Got my bill this month,no credit for the two months that i did not have the film package, phoned again, the girl said that allthough i had cancelled the package on line i had not clicked the confim box so my fault, they had not carried out my instruction the second month so will give me one months credit, sod it will take the credit and intend to leave when my line rental is up for renewal in September.
As others have said the product is great but the staff at CS are terrible.
God knows what it will cost to move on but can do without the long phone calls that make me want to pull my hair out ( i do not have much to start with )

    Regards
    Ganga
