I wish it were as simply as them not putting the vehicles on MID, in fact it took them several days to add my new car to MID but that is normal for some insurers.
What they did the first time was to take my old car off cover but were unable to put the new car on cover or put the old car back on as a temporary vehicle leaving both cars stuck on the garage forcourt causing an obstruction.
The second time they made me an offer for my written off but drivable vehicle and told me I could continue driving it until the salvage was collected to avoid the need to hire and alternative. Five minutes after agreeing this they removed the car from cover and did not inform me. I had actually driven 120 miles before I called them to get a quote for my new car and found out I had no insurance. At this point I was still some way from home with an uninsured car on the public road.0
