Really? When was the last time you saw a CEO held responsible for the failings of their underlings?

More likely, they will claim no knowledge of what went on, and any case against them will be dropped.

he posted that with so much conviction that i almost believed him and then you made a very valid point. when has that EVER happened.

The PA will deal with all of this, even his "private and confidental" stuff. if it's genuinely private and confidential it would go to the ceos home address and not give out his/her work address for private and confidential letters.

For now I have just sent a formal written complaint to the normal complaints office which I posted Friday. They called Tuesday to acknowledge my complaint and agreed they would call after 5 Wednesday to discuss outcome.

What they actually did was call my wife at a time they had been told we would not be able to answer the phone and left a message asking for information which was clearly stated in my letter. I did not receive the promised call either.

Tesco are really not impressing me.

Sounds like they are doing their best to help you.

You are contradicting yourself in the same paragraph, they did call you - they just didn't get through to you and left a message. You can call them back and leave them a message with the answers they're after if it helps.

Out of curiosity what hours were you unavailable for? 9-5??

    Martin Winterkorn - VW
    Anthony Jenkins - Barclays Bank
    Paul Flowers - Co Op
    Tony Hayward - BP
    Akiyo Toyoda - Toyota
    Rebekah Brooks - News International

The list goes on but I can't be bothered :-)

an isolated incident of a procedural error caused a policyholders insurance not to be correctly recorded with the MID, how does that compare to any of the examples you mentioned above??

It answers the question above put by Ecophile. Agreed, they are somewhat dramatic examples but then they are the ones that stand out and are therefore easiest to remember. But the theory is the same - the man at the top is ultimately responsible. In every document I deal with connected to compliance or issues such as H&S the statement is made time and time again.

Benny Higgins is officially Bernard Higgins, genuinely didn't think it would have a residential address at companies house, but that is what Google suggests it is.

This information is all in the public domain before anyone tries to suggest otherwise.

No contradiction they agreed to call me on my mobile between set times that they offered and I made myself available for, to discuss the outcome of their investigation.

What they actually did was call my wife's mobile at a time they had been told she was not available to request information which was clearly stated in my letter. They left a message with an invalid telephone number and the number they called on does not accept incoming calls.

No further attempt has been made to contact me and I do not have any contact details for their complaints team. Their complaints team work outside 9-5 hours for what it is worth.

classic case of MSE going off on tangents I suppose. So will the Tesco CEO will be blasted all over the world news and forced to resign and go into hiding because one policyholder had an issue with not being registered on the MID after taking out insurance??
