Why so angry? I know you're not happy with the outcome, but the majority are....
If you don't recognise the legitimacy of the vote yesterday, what sort of democratic system do you subscribe to?

    Not neccessarily :(
Some of the voters who backed Britain leaving the EU have revealed their regret over the choice after Leave triumphed in the referendum.

You may sure the remain will win. The public care about migration but more importantly they care more about the pound in their pocket.

Well l certainly did not see that coming. How wrong can you be.

However I was listening to LBC this am and apparently one of the presenters recalled a call he got from someone last week who said they had bet £200,000 on us remaining. They tried to get hold of him today but to no avail. At least with me no money changed hands.

Also someone in the DM was quoted as saying they did not think their vote mattered and voted out. Now she is regretting her decision. doh

Why would you vote for something you don't want just because you think your vote doesn't count? Tactical voting is redundant in a referendum.

The petition is a shambles. They want another referendum for a majority of less than 60% on less than a 75% turnout. It would never end. The country needs to deal with its debt, not waste taxpayers' money on another referendum.

It's rather comical that some people think a 72% turnout "isn't enough."

It's the highest voter turnout since 1992. Should we also invalidate every election result since then too?

It would at least wipe the Blair government out of existence. Silver linings and all that.

many voters are/were a shambles which is why we have representative democracy rather than direct democracy.

One I heard today was my local Asian corner shop worker. A woman in her late 20s or early 30s who voted out. Her reasoning was along the lines of 'why should Europeans be able to come here so easily it was hell bringing my husband over were all humans'. !!!!!! seriously !!!!!! it doesn't even make sense. A migrant who very recently bought over another migrant voting out because she is annoyed that another group of migrants dont have it as hard?? Worst part of it is that I have spoken to this person a few times and she didn't seem all that dim until today!

Also clearly the vote remain turned out less I personally know 3 strong vote in who did not vote (they had to go tend to a sudden death) so were away from the local polling station on the day

a general election can be redone in 5 years. This might change the character of not only the UK but the whole of Europe for 50 years. Also it was very close a swing of 1% changes the result.

My view would be, the leave side should trash out its actual deal with the EU and whoever else, put it on a plate in 1 years time, and then vote on it again. Right now people were voting not know is there going to still be free movement in the EU, is there going to be free trade with the EU, what will any membership fee look like, etc

Regardless of which side of a debate you're on, there aren't many good reasons not to vote. That however is a good reason.

I'll take exception to your points there. I totally agree with the "dim woman" you spoke to.

My wife is a non-EU citizen, and as such it was a complete nightmare for her to get into the country and to get indefinite leave to remain. So yes it was unfair towards non-EU migrants. You can be as blinkered as you want but it will not change the reality of the situation rather than what you think it might be.
