So you can advertise yourself as a UK seller offering 12 months warranty when there is none? I'm guessing that should be enough for a SNAD. eBay should be responsible for checking that as they will be for tax evasion http://www.theweek.co.uk/68096/amazon-and-ebay-to-be-liable-for-sellers-vat-avoidance
Last year same issue with an SSD. Intel page mentioned a warranty, so I thought all was good. When I sent the RMA they told me the Serial number belonged to an OEM, so warranty could only be offered by them with suitable proof of purchase of the complete system (computer)
Sent it back to the seller as an RMA to never see it again
Complete nonsense...0 -

SNAD is nothing to do with the seller and their guarantee. SNAD is above and beyond any legal redress you might have. It's certainly nothing to do with VAT.0 -

If you have issues with the way a company is listing an item , you can use the " report" feature.you could do this, it might take some time, but in my limited experience, eBay do act.Once eBay have acted, you could then approach eBay again.
You need to report up the incorrect vat number too. Had you done this , you would have already flagged them up as suspect.0
