eBay items warranty

Bought a phone this last January on eBay which developed a fault with the touchscreen. The phone itself is in mint condition.
Seller mentions 12 months warranty but no reply. I found out when checking my Paypal history payments this is actually TinyDeal Europe selling trough eBay. On their webpage warranty is mentioned as 6 months (Bad timing for me as I've got it since the 3rd January)
Almost forgot, just been in touch with Lenovo, they mention this model has no warranty on the UK?
Any advice dealing with this?

OP, did you not see the seller's contact address on that listing you mention:Denny Chen
12/F., San Toi Building,137-139 Connaught Road Central
Hong Kong
VAT number: GB 181213634
The vat number they are using belongs to a Manchester company.
Whether that Manchester company, Fastlink Logistics Ltd, knows they are using their number, I have no idea.0 -
Some eBay purchases give the option to buy and additional " square deal" guarantee, if you are sure that wasn't it-telephone eBay to discuss.0
