Is it me or are the boards really quiet at the moment ???

Im pretty new, and its quite intimidating as to where to post and how many places there are. Alot of people probably want a fast turnaround with money as well, and leave when things are not going fast enough or they simply lose intrest.

Im here to annoy you guys for about 2 years

I've been finding it a little quieter than normal. Although I do try to help when I spot a new poster.

I think Kristian may be right. I know that I nearly lost the way. But I am still here still fighting my debts (although Lloyds OD just gets bigger and bigger!!) and I can understand people wanting to concentrate on other parts of their lives.

It's a jounrey and I'm pleased to be here!

Some of the regulars seem a bit quiet, but maybe they only post on their diary threads, I don't know because I don't have time to read them all!!

There are lots of new people though which is good.

Some people are lucky enough to have paid off their debts, maybe? I envy those.

Maybe some people feel they have learnt good habits from this site and then go out and put into practise all the things they have learnt, and get 3 jobs, and then are too busy to post!

It can seem a bit cliquey at first, but I do think people are friendly and welcoming so new posters should not be put off!

Im sad to say no I want a pug, my GF wants a pug, but we cant because we cant afford to look after one at the moment and we live in a flat where they dont allow pets. When im debt free, we're going to get a house and a pug. Its one of our goals. :T

I'd love to have room for a dog too, I'd love a huge daft yellow lab, because that's what I was brought up with but we're a bit squashed in our little house as it is!

I think the thing with these boards is that, like any group of people, it has in-jokes (car mats anyone? :rotfl:), close friendships, and can appear cliquey from the outside, but once you get involved, it really is a friendly and supportive place.

I enjoy the social side of the forum, and that keeps me coming back, which in turn means I am usually around when newbies ask for help, and I try and give advice where I can, or just pop in and say hello and offer some support if not.
