Maybe do a budget (SOA) and show it to her, and ask her where the £28 + £18 is supposed to come from?0

I never ever buy in rounds (nor accept the offer if someone is buying a round). I don;t mind buying the odd drink for a friend, but not for a whole group. I would usually only have a small budget for a night out anyway and most of that would be gone in the first round. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. The easiest system I ever came across was a pub where the bar staff would take orders when collecting glasses (e.g. they detected that quite a few people had no drink (obviously to make more money). They would allow each person to pay for their drink separately by cash or card so this made it fair and convenient. Not come across many places that do this.To err is human, but it is against company policy.0

We are a mixed group of about 14 who meet every week at a pub, who have known each other for around 40 odd years. We buy our own drinks as a rule of thumb, but birthday boy/ girl buys one round. This works well since some of us are richer than the others, and some of us drink more than others. (Not the same people!) With such a variation in income and intake, our system works well with no necessity for discomfort.0
