Neither fits me. My husband watches some matches and I will watch with him.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Husband only watches the England matches. Doesn't follow football at all, but acts like a superfan when they play. Me? I vote for pigpens option of D.
Why can't they put it on some random channel that doesn't disrupt normal programmes?0 -
Football widow and bored of it already. Based on nearly 20 years experience of me being one, eventually DH will go down to watching just the England matches, not every single match that's on when he's home. After that he will become bored once England gets kicked out ;)and watch just the finals.0

Isn't there an option 'C'?
My OH isn't that bothered about it & neither am I.
We'll watch it - together - if there's nothing else on.
When growing up my mum was the one who was football mad, and my dad couldn't be less interested in any kind of sport.0 -
I'm absolutely with Guy Martin on this one. "I have nothing against football. It just seems very wasteful losing two hours of my life to watch 22 millionaires on TV chasing a bag full of wind in their underwear."
Some of the colours are pretty, but what I really enjoy are the empty roads.0 -
I love it!
I'm self employed and have organised my work so I can watch every match. So far I've only missed the first half of Ireland v Sweden as my daughter has a swimming lesson on Mondays after school and I missed Romania v Switzerland as she was in a running event.
We're also doing the Euro Foodball challenge and making an evening meal from one of the competing nations of the day. Tonight was Czech karbanatky and bramboracky. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Can't stand football but it has made me appreciate catch up tv,DVDS and the radio.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

I've watched the England matches and forced the kids to do the same (only because they refuse to leave the front room, their problem!)....they were most gutted to hear the tv viewing over the summer because they will also be forced to have Wimbledon and the Olympics on.
Growing up, it was me who taught the boys how to play football not their dad, hardly surprising bearing in mind I played football in my youth and broke my wrist playing against France in an unofficial match, my ballet teacher was not amused....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I used to be mega-interested in football - I can still name the 1966 England squad and remember the final vividly.
As well as Celtic winning the European Cup and Manchester United doing the same the following year.
But my interest has waned over the years as a result of the overpaid, self-important, cheating players that seem to exist in the football world nowadays.0
