Silver fish

I brought them from work probably as there's lots there and started appearing in my house soon after I've started working there. I cant get rid of them now in my own house whatever I do. I was advised to get humidifier and I did. Humidifier is a big one and its constantly on but those creepy looking insects are still appearing. I work nights, So as soon as I turn the lights on when I enter the house they are trying to run off. Cant see any on day time though. What else can I do?

Constantly on? Good grief, humidifiers eat electricity at the best of times! Sell the humidifier, buy a vacuum cleaner and use it often.

Its an automatic humidifier that detects the humidity and comes on only when the humidity is high. And I have a vacuum cleaner. Also I have laminate floors downstairs where the silver fish is appearing!!

    Can you "carry" silver fish?

They usually emerge from pipe s from the underfloor void, they only come out at night and as far as I know they do now damage, so whats the issues?

Your underfloor will always be damp, that's what it's there to protect you from.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Buy some Indorex - its a flea spray available either from vets or Amazon. We used this for fleas and came down the next day to HUNDREDS of silver fish, we had no clue there were any where near those numbers having only ever seen the odd one and they continued to come out to die for several days after the initial spray. It will also kill off spiders.

Sorry I didnt notice that I actually said humidifier in my original post. Yes its a dehumidifier.
I am asking here because a friend said if it was fleas, a flee bomb would have get rid off them. So thought maybe there is a silverfish bomb lol. Would flea bomb work on silverfish then mishkanorman?

It worked a treat for us, we have laminate and they could easily come and go from under the skirting board. I'd tried a few things before using this for the fleas and nothing had shifted them so we put up with it !
