Those of us who have never placed a bet (i.e. me) don't have a clue what that means. Could you explain what that would mean in real terms if I placed a tenner on each result?

Currently seeing 1 to 2 on Remain, 13 to 8 Leave. They've been like that a couple of days.

    To make it simple.

You put £10 on remain, we remain and you get back £15 (10*1/2 +10)
You put £10 on leave, we leave and you make £26.25 (10*13/8 +10)

BTW the vote result was to remain. Just gonna leave that here.

It`s a subliminal, many people have made a massive mistake in "Hosing" so much (borrowed) money at property.

So, the seller's estate agents relisted the house yesterday and removed 'STC'. Is this reasonable considering I don't really have a leg to stand on until I have a new buyer, or should they have informed me that it would be going back on the market? I was hoping to be given a couple of week's grace.

    This sucks.

I think they could have told you out of courtesy, but what would be the point of giving you a couple of weeks grace ? Essentially you are now non procedable you have no ability to buy.

True, but I've heard of sellers 'hanging on' - does this not mean that they will not relist the property for a period of time? Now somebody else could get in there and beat us to it. I know we can do nothing about it but we are further ahead than anyone else (all paperwork done and ready to exchange on purchase end)

Oh that is a shame. They should have mentioned it, but at the end of the day you are not currently able to proceed. (Though fingers crossed you soon will be again)

I would expect when anyone else expresses interest they will tell them there's an offer on it but that they may be open to others in a position to move faster, say perhaps someone with nothing to sell.

I'm sure the seller will appreciate that if they dump you for someone else in a chain, even if under offer, the same thing could happen again, so they would be foolish to jump to that.

Its quite possible it was, plenty of nervous nellies on here who think house prices will collapse the morning after a leave vote.

But are they just people speculating and posturing or genuine buyers?

No way to know but there are enough of them that I think some at least must be "genuine" buyers.
