Actually thinking of heading up your way sometime  last time I was there, 2013, I mainly saw the inside of Sunderland general with a broken elbow :rotfl: Time before that was 2004 for a funeral.

They say it comes in 3's:o

Just to let know know what's going on with the M list. I've removed a lot of Oral B products, including refills and toothbrushes because I think the refills (Stages, Frozen and Avengers) seem to have gone from £10 to £15. I did have some 2 pack at £4.50 RTC on the list before but they weren't in the stores I've used this week - they were picked up from elsewhere in the first place - and I can't vouch for them still being £4.50 if they are still around anywhere: they may well have increased back up in price now. They are going to be risky in any event (not that that stops a whole lot of other items remaining on the list:rotfl:) so I have just removed them. It seems that one of the refills packs (4 pack Avengers, now not available in A) is £9 in S.

This also seems to have gone up from £15 RTC:

    Oral B Stages Avengers Toothbrush

    Store_8.15px.png
    £33.00 £33.00 / Toothbrush

Again, I don't know, as I couldn't spot this in my Ms as it's been RTC and gone. Msm has low point of £17.50 but I had it at £15 RTC in more than one M during the time when it was showing that price online (down from £17.50 to £15 instore) but, in the light of the other Oral B products having apparently gone up, this looks like it's gone up as well.

There's a couple of Oral B Professional Care 600s showing £50 A vs £25 M:rotfl: on msm - not sure why anybody would risk that - although apparently there is a money back guarantee if you aren't 100% satisfied (and when are you ever 100% satisfied?). I seem to have £24 from somewhere on one of them and no trace of the other one at all.

On toothpaste, it looks like Aldi is a better place for some of this: for example the new Colgate Whitening & Fresh Breath (100ml) is £1 in M but 79p in Aldi on 100ml. There are some new 75ml at 93p and 87p in M but they don't work out as well as £1 for 100ml. One of those is bettered by T being 80p (for the 75ml) but again not as 'good' as £1 for 100ml and, anyway, Aldi is 79p (I think the Triple Action tube has in fact risen from 75p to 79p in Aldi so, even though it's better than elsewhere, it seems it isn't as good as it was before). I saw some branded - but not a well-known brand - of squeezy toothpaste on an offer in Aldi only a few days ago, so may be worth looking there to see if you can find it. I didn't buy it as we already have enough toothpaste but obviously this is the sort of product that can be stocked up on:money: before it goes back up and is then never as good again. Some Macleans 100ml was (is?) on 50p RTC in M but that one has cleared from my stores by now. There are other RTCs still around in M (and maybe the Macleans are somewhere?) a number of months after I first identified them (probably from other stores but they've now reached one of mine?) - for example I can confirm that the Sellotape On-Hand Dispenser was definitely available in at least one M yesterday with 50p RTC. Some go but some seem to stay around for a while.

Agree. The shares that I own and have had for a good few years have certainly not performed well. Santander ones are about worth less now than they were several years back as are centrica. If you can work out apgs you can certainly work out all these bank accounts. Read the banking forum every night like you do the elite. I think the banks are going go be dropping their rates now and I think we should concentrate on getting regular savings opened to max out our interest.

Trulymadly - ok 2 direct debits needed for each bos current account. I think one needs to come from your internet saver and one from the instant access account. They then have two different mandates I think. Juju will correct me if I am wrong. This is what I did for my Lloyds and it worked. Hope this helps.

I think shares generally would have increased in value and I'm probably losing a lot of money by keeping my money in 'loss leader' current accounts - I suspect they'd increase by at least 15% compared to a paltry 5% or 3% over a longer period but again it's the 'risk' factor and the fact they could go down that stops me from going for them when really I should. It's just too complicated for me and easier to put into the bank:rotfl::(.

I think the key is not to be owning shares in the banks as those shares have gone down.

To me it sounds like a hell of a lot of work to set up:eek:
I know that many people prefer their money to be very safe but the dividend return on a decent share portfolio would easily pay 5 x that.
I know energy and alcohol are 2 of the most stable and motley crew also recommend Unilever as people always need to stay clean.
Shares are a slight gamble but if you are happy to put in a few hours reading up they are more profitable and quite fun. Obviously have a good spread of companies. Even with the brexit vote as long as we had kept away from banking and aviation we made a profit.
I suppose that it you have the aptitude for setting up these bank accounts they probably run themselves in the end but do you have to keep changing when the fixed term is up?

I know mse'ers love their bank accounts but just a different view.

Wow.......I've just checked and the gift for 27 years is a sculpture.

So I thought a miniature wedding sculpture would be appropriate for someone Tiny:)
