Wow.......I've just checked and the gift for 27 years is a sculpture.

So I thought a miniature wedding sculpture would be appropriate for someone Tiny:)

I think it depends on what people want, and also what interests you. The bank accounts are guaranteed, and people would know what the return would be, for say 12 months. Shares are mostly considered to be a longer term investment, and due to the price fluctuation, can make you nervous. I speak from experience, having seen the share price of something I hold, drop from £5 per share to £4....but you have to ride it out....the divi is a sweetner.
Ideally it is good to have a spread of.... both cash and shares....funds permitting of course.

Agree. The shares that I own and have had for a good few years have certainly not performed well. Santander ones are about worth less now than they were several years back as are centrica. If you can work out apgs you can certainly work out all these bank accounts. Read the banking forum every night like you do the elite. I think the banks are going go be dropping their rates now and I think we should concentrate on getting regular savings opened to max out our interest.

Trulymadly - ok 2 direct debits needed for each bos current account. I think one needs to come from your internet saver and one from the instant access account. They then have two different mandates I think. Juju will correct me if I am wrong. This is what I did for my Lloyds and it worked. Hope this helps.
