I'm here too, but about to sign off. Very weary after our travel agent's garden party, a lot of talking and a lot of fresh air. Had a jolly good time but feel ready to drop off. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Well it's time to charge up my work phone and see what crises await me tomorrow:o
I'm usually so organised going back to work. I really need a holiday to get over this holiday:rotfl:To do is to be. Rousseau

Unfortunately my first aid skills were put to the test after a bad collision but apart from one person needing stitches, everyone eventually got home safely.
It's been such a tiring few days but the weather has been kind to us and we've had most meals around the table outside. The last of our guests leave tomorrow and life will return to normal.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, DD and a friend she had staying over foiled a robbery. They heard noises extremely late and could see from her window some figures in the field next door. They had broken into some outbuildings and were also trying to get into a 4x4 which was parked up. They called the police but didn't wake us up as they knew how tired we were. But they were up until about 3 in the morning giving statements etc. We slept through it all and didn't hear a thing.
Our BBQ last night was fantastic with a great selection of whoopsied stuff from the freezer. Trout stuffed with spinach and ricotta from A fresh fish counter, £6 down to 25p, Gressingham duck breasts, burgers, steaks and sausages all whoopsied. It would have cost a fortune at full price. All I had to do was microwave some UB rice, make a dish of salad and stick garlic bread in the oven.
The freezer is now ready to be restocked.
Thanks to the elite allowing me to put together a banquet for very little money:T:T
:T:T well done

I've booked the Cambridge - and managed to do it before Holiday Exras (very unsportingly) decided to stop their money back promise. I will find the price later when I get back. We have also used their sister hotel nearby - again I will find the details later this evening.
The Cambridge was £58 for a double room for just one night (on our way home). It was £78 for a double room with 15 days parking going out. No breakfasts included but can be ordered as an extra at reasonable cost. I think the transfers were £3 each way per person.ELITE 5:2

May pop into M&S later for a cream tea as that was my welcome on my sparks card Late for all the offers just now
Looking forward to all the pics of the wedding TM did you take pics of your buffet?
Enjoy your day
please can I ask when you registered with your new sparks card? did you get an email after you registered about Thursday after you registered?
OH registered his card on Saturday but no spend yet. His offer seems to be one free hot drink which is good - can't see any mention of size but it also seems to be one free hot drink per day - its valid for 17 days
- wether this us so in reality or just badly worded we will see“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

I used to think that prices would fall as you got later into September but even September seems to be high season. October is not much cheaper and then Its half term and prices hike again ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
