Thank you for all your good wishes for our cycling event....it was a great success:)
Unfortunately my first aid skills were put to the test after a bad collision but apart from one person needing stitches, everyone eventually got home safely.

It's been such a tiring few days but the weather has been kind to us and we've had most meals around the table outside. The last of our guests leave tomorrow and life will return to normal.

In the early hours of Saturday morning, DD and a friend she had staying over foiled a robbery. They heard noises extremely late and could see from her window some figures in the field next door. They had broken into some outbuildings and were also trying to get into a 4x4 which was parked up. They called the police but didn't wake us up as they knew how tired we were. But they were up until about 3 in the morning giving statements etc. We slept through it all and didn't hear a thing.

Our BBQ last night was fantastic with a great selection of whoopsied stuff from the freezer. Trout stuffed with spinach and ricotta from A fresh fish counter, £6 down to 25p, Gressingham duck breasts, burgers, steaks and sausages all whoopsied. It would have cost a fortune at full price. All I had to do was microwave some UB rice, make a dish of salad and stick garlic bread in the oven.

The freezer is now ready to be restocked.

Thanks to the elite allowing me to put together a banquet for very little money:T:T
