At my local A's, if you use SS tills, you are never asked for the receipt, you enter the APG yourself, the staff just leave you to it. In fact I have had wombles in the past where it has been difficult to read the numbers on the receipt, due to car tyre marks, and when I have worked it out, I have written the numbers on a postit note, and attached that to the apg, for my reference. Then when in store I have just manually entered the numbers from the postit note, on SS till. So no, you do not need the receipt to claim the APG at ss tills, in some A's.

DO NOT WANT TO START AN ARGUMENT OVER RIGHTS & WRONGS

Thanks to the "person" who claimed my APG:mad:
I naively posted my receipt number to share the results to give something back and help others. I went to print my APG's today before i go shopping and it says
You've already claimed this voucher against a different ASDA.com account. If you'd like to print your voucher again, please log in using the same ASDA.com account you claimed the voucher against previously.

note to self and a reminder to others remember this is a public forum and read by lots of people. I was thinking no one could claim it as I had the receipt but forgetting there is always someone who can work the system :(

It used to be, and i'm not sure if it's changed, that next month you could claim again and it didn't matter which account was used. Try on 1st August.

Doesn't help you, but surely they need the receipt?
or am I being naïve? x

Unfortunately - it would be pretty easy to redeem on self-service just by entering the tc# numbers manually instead of scanning the receipt :(

Why not write it on the receipt ?

In some stores some staff pounce on you. Whilst you might get away with it, you might get caught and at least a ban.

lol...henrik, it was in such a bad state, when I say car tyre marks I was making light of it....it was in a disgusting state, and then I had to dry it out on the radiator... but was worth it as the apg was over a fiver!

Even the bug holed, rain soaked, driven over receipts have enough room for a few pen strokes ;)

I also had things like milk written on the back when they went in the cashback pile. No post its here :money:

    Afternoon all.
Hasn't it been a lovely day? Hope you all enjoyed it. I went out with mum to the Co op this afternoon as I needed coffee, and to get out of the house for a while. On the way back we stopped at a small local garden centre, just to browse you understand ;):p:rotfl:
They had a greenhouse laden with plants, some needing a bit of tlc, that were on an offer, fill a box for a fiver. Well you know me, couldn't resist, so found the biggest box in the stack they had kindly provided, and stuffed it full.
    Have a look

Full price they would have cost about £35:eek:
I will find spaces for them, might be a bit of a struggle, but I will suceed:D

Henrik, it does not matter whether the numbers are written on a postit, as I did or written on the receipt.....the point I was trying to make, is that you do NOT need the receipt. Previous posters had said you needed the receipt in order to use the APG, which is not correct.
You can write your numbers wherever you wish....as will I.
