This looks promising. Even just looking at their homepage they sell gloves for £16 (unless you have use of/know anyone who wants gas cylinders)

What's the cheapest qualifying item people can see?

    Full T&Cs

This offer is eligible on orders made when quoting code 'i'll post it on the codes board ' at checkout via https://www.BOConlineshop.co.uk, by phone or within BOC retail stores. Offer can only be redeemed once per account. Points will be awarded on all purchases of compressed industrial gases, industrial hard goods (for instance welding equipment, gas regulators, consumables, safety products, cryogenic equipment and other tools associated with the use of Industrial and Refrigerant Gases), industrial dry ice, balloon gas; and BOC branded refrigerant gases.!Some products and offers including rental, medical gases, bulk, cryospeed and special gases are not eligible for Nectar points due to high volumes and pricing. Please note, certain very high volume!customers and products are excluded from the Nectar programme, namely Sureserve and Healthcare accounts.!For full T&C’s visit BOConline.co.uk/nectarterms!for details.!

Edit: maybe not so good :(. You can't register without a gas cylinder in your basket and you apparently have to agree to monthly rental costs :(

Can anyone help with a blackbox question??

DS2 has got his test in a couple of weeks. We are looking to get a car with blackbox fitted.

His job starts at 6am, but the insurance companies say curfews between 7am and 10pm.

What happens as he will be using it before.

Hi Sarah. DD1 had similar issue as she was working in a pub when she first passed her test. We went for a blackbox with My Policy who, although they slightly mark down in points any journeys after hours, don't have a curfew. We have had no problems at all and never paid any more than the premium at the start.

DD1 paid £1666 first year but only £650 second year, HTH :)

EDIT: that should read bank of mum and dad paid first year!!

not a glitch but a good price so if anyone is looking for loo rolls and has a Makro card they are doing a clearance of a few lines ATM so might be worth checking your local one out.

The packs of 18 Velour luxury quilted 3 ply loo rolls in Natural are reduced to £5.99 (+vat) which makes them £7.19 each but they are on BOGOF so you are getting 36 rolls for £7.19 (just under 20p a roll)

My much depleted loo roll stash has just increased to a more satisfying level :D

Lynx shower worked from this morning.

Just to let others know, the A tills don't take off the Walkers if you buy the BAKED version of crisps.

On SS, bought a payday pack, and a Baked one, one came off, one was rejected.
I just paid then went to CS, got a refund no prob.

    Good morning all...busy day today....

but whizzing through to wish belated birthday wishes to HILLBERN and frequent.

Wanted to add my perspective to the "BLACKBOX" question from SARAH...

DS has one fitted in his car and has had it since day 1 driving...his policy is with Admiral and we have been very pleased with it.
There is no time restrictions on their boxes basically the drivers know they are being monitored and as such drive accordingly...

We have an app tracker and each week we get details of the journeys
that the car has taken, each one is graded either gold silver or bronze and these are worked out on several factors including response times to braking speed etc.

At the end of each month a score is given and providing that stays gold over the year then insurance premiums are not over inflated for the following year.

The box makes no distinction over who is driving and there have been times when both OH and I have only managed silver journeys so actually it keeps us all in check a little!

I dont really agree with the poster who says that they end up putting your insurance up....lots of factors contribute to that, and I found the original post a little without substance sorry....

We have had nothing but a good experience with a black box and it has bought down the cost of insurance substantially when we renewed earlier this year ...i think its just a case of weighing the facts and deciding which one if any suit your son.

Putting either you or your OH on the policy may make a difference to the premium but check with whoever you insure with....some actually increase it by having parents associated!
The main thing is that the policy is in your sons name and as such he starts to get his own insurance history which hopefully reduces premiums in the long term.

If you want any more info...happy to help..but it worked for DS and he doesnt see it as intrusive in any way...

hope everyone has a lovely sunny day....and that Riley wins a race at sports day!

Oh I wish lol. He wasn t listening and they all shot off without him and consequently he came second to last
