After my attempts to get a decent deal with Virgin, I cancelled yesterday, cheapest they would go was just over £100 all in a month.

I have just switched to BT online through Quidco, £61 all in, no 2nd box, will just use freesat, no movies as I hardly watch them, all the sports channels and BT sports, 76Megs BB and free evening and weekend calls....
So Virgin would have been over £1200 a year, BT will be £732.
AND... Quidco £90 AND BT visa card thingy for £125, so net £517 a year, saving about £700 !!!
£43 a month all in. Am chuffed.
Even if Virgin try to get me back, they can get stuffed. Until after 12 months anyway LOL

I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss the Virgin Outbound Retentions call - you have done well with 1) cancel and 2) placing order elsewhere. This double flags your account on Virgin systems and will in all likelihood lead to a call from them.

You are now in a very strong negotiating position as you are prepared to walk away and have a much cheaper deal to go to. When they call, I would be very prepared to listen - they are known for doing some excellent retentions deals and I would be very prepared to cancel the BT install if their deal works out better (I did do in March!). As always, the first offer they come up with is unlikely to be their final offer so don't be afraid to pause, say you will think about it, throw in the odd compliment about the service but you can get it much cheaper elsewhere etc.

    Evening Elite friends

I didn't sleep last night, a mix of the heat, a little barking from Noela, and mind not switching off. Was sitting in lounge after getting up when Noela barked about 4 and then realised me and Berry were in lounge and Noela had gone straight into bedroom and I found her sound asleep on her bed, the other side of my bed ;) So as soon as I got up, she had gone to bed :rotfl: I went back to bed but as I said, still couldn't sleep. Berry then decided he wanted fed so I got up at 7 and fed both of them, and we all went bac to bed, and this time, after an hour or so, I slept .... right through till Berry woke me again for food at 5pm ;) I really think I might be a vampire  Sleep during the day and awake at night :rotfl: I know I am missing the lovely weather but I wouldn't be sitting out in it much

Has anyone tried the Quorn as I see some Vegan ones are included. Wondering whether to get ready and nip to Asda now as they are so expensive normally, the vegan ones are rarely included in offers. I'll do a bit of research now, as still time to decide

Long time lurker here 😳 Love reading about everyone's wombles, APGs, slimming successes, trouting experiences etc but not been brave enough to post haha.

Anyway, daughter works at Waitrose after school and mentioned she noticed people with a MyWaitrose card were getting 25% off plants today. Not tried it myself yet and cannot see anything on their website, but thought I would share xxx :D
