Hi bubbs
I walked into work and they laughed at me I was that wet
My leggings where stuck to my legs and when I wiped my legs with paper towel which was blue I ended up with blue bits stuck to my legs :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Was glad to get home and jump into a lovely bath that was after Poppy went walkies :A
Good job I always have spare leggings in work must remember to take another pair tomorrow
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: bloody hell, put them in/with your bag now;)Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
Well I finally got around to ringing sky again after numerous interruptions and inevitably the person I last spoke to who promised she would make notes on the account didn't
and I should have made a note of her name but I didn't but I don't think it would have made any difference though.
So again I went through to retensions again but this chap I spoke to would not budge at all.
The best that he would offer me was £71.99 - a £5 discount :rotfl:
Up from £44.59
He kept going on about loyalty discounts coming to an end, well so can customer loyalty.
So we have gone through with the 31 day cancellations
It seems a very daunting step but hopefully sky will see the error of its ways and get back to me in the next 2 weeks, she says hopefully. Its a war of nerves.
Otherwise plusnet will let me pay for line rental annually (so it works out at £15 something a month) and then £15 a month for fibre but half price for the first 6 months.
TV we can figure out something - Now TV or suchlike ...
but hopefully it may not come to thisAfternoon all
Just had the first of a the annual series of discussions with sky
we are paying now
TV box sets £27.19
Fibre unlimited £10
line rental £10
total £44.59
after July
TV £38
Fibre £20
line rental £18.99
total £76.99
annoying having to pay any line rental when we rarely use the land line for any calls - only used twice this year.
Fibre, this is our first year and it is not brilliant, still very slow, 10 mb at best and we get a lot of line droppage
Never use the box sets but to get documentaries and history we have to have it as we have a HD TV
so we asked to be put through to customer retentions and after some discussion was offered 33% off the Tv and £5 off the fibre. They are keen to give you total prices but you need to ask for price breakdowns
so now
TV box set £25.46
fibre unlimited £15
line rental £18.99
total £55.43
still more than £10 more than we are paying.
I asked her to save the quotes and I would get back to them, not sure how far more I can push things.
Last year it took me 4 phone calls to get the right price and even then it was not actioned on the account so I had some credits to make up for the problems we had
I suppose I am hoping for a bill under £50 but I think that might be too much to hope for“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
We have just had something similar with talk talk Mhoc.....25p reduction on monthly payment via the retention department and just nothing better they could offer.....
OH went away and found a better deal with another provider, cant remember who but it featured Qco....and it wasn't until we had told talktalk to cancel he contract that they finally matched the price....
sometimes you just wish they would take the first phonecall seriously and price match rather than turning it into a battle of wits.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0 -

very true. Last year it took 4 phone calls to get good enough offers and I think that was January 2016 when we went without a landline for 6 weeks. And even then the discounts were not applied to the accounts so we got 2 lots of credit and ended up with almost no bill for 2 months - very shambolic
I told the chap what plusnet would offer me and he still would not budge
Every year its the same misery. It makes sorting out the multi-car policy for 4 cars seem like a total piece of cake.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Sorry that you messed up - we have all been there ... you can hand in your badge at the Elite membership desk.
I am sure we know it after this experience, but everyone needs to make sure that you only buy items that are the same price per item in A (so the cheapest one free is the same price as the others) to maximise your return - and all matching the same competitor.
Also it is worth people remembering, particularly if you are buying a lot, you are getting high value APGs and need to be able to spend them within 28 days of producing the voucher to get your cash back out. If you are doing multiple shops, it is best trying to rinse and repeat rather than spending lots of cash up front as otherwise you will end up with lots of vouchers left to spend on "normal" shopping (I know I now have more than I would normally spend on shopping, as I thought this may end quickly and so went in quick to get what I wanted, so I will have to decide what I need to buy to "cash out").
