MHOC best wishes to your son fingers crossed.

Bit of an up and down week for me. Firstly Mum had a bad day yesterday and called me at 11 to say she had dropped tv remote and remote for her chair and I said if the carer comes before I finish at lunch ask her to do it. When I left work I called again and could hear tv blaring but couldnt make her hear me. So I had promised DD I would help with baba so drove there. Then had 3 missed calls at hers from Mum and tried to call but phone was off the hook. Few mins later and police called to say Mum had called them about the phone. She was compis mentis enough to tell them my mobile no and they called. When I got there front door was open all lights on and her phone was on side table but 2 remotes on floor. I picked it all up and told her things have to change and we are getting near care jome options.
Called the care agency on way back to DD's and they investigated and said carer had picked them up and left them on her side table with her lunch.
Went back in at t-time and she was apolegetic and told me off for mentioning care homes. Thing is she has had my sister with the broken leg home for 2 months waiting on her hand and foot ( to the detriment of her own health and recovery ) and we always have this scenario when she goes back.
Then went to DR with tender Breasts and she has referred me to the breast clinic ( within 2 weeks ) although shes not at all worried about it but of course I am trying not too but I am a bit

On the plus side bathroom removed yesterday so new bathroom and boiler going in this week.

    morning all

I am up before the crack of dawn because we have been on the station run - another child waved off.
Errant son is doing 3 hours north today and this evening 3 hours back.
The interview today is ultra mega important - this company he is being interviewed for is such a perfect match and its absolutley the right area he wants to be in - so mega positive thoughts and prayers today please everyone that it all goes well

I did say to him why didnt he stay over, plenty of airbandb places closeby for £30 a night and the train fare woukd be the same over 2 days. Then he could have done some climbing tommorow but no he is coming back tonight - hoping to get a temp day tommorow

So we have a quiet house today, if a bit distracted

I must say, errant son does not seem very errant. In the time he has been back he has made real efforts to find work and has been using any spare time for temporary work. Maybe he should be renamed Formerly Errant Son.

Yes I must admit he has been quite impressive with his efforts but I am holding off the re naming.

He also has been very helpful with his dad doing the big jobs outside eg the stick chopping the other weekend and this weekend the wood pile that has stood in a corner behind the porch literally for years - it included the old skirting boards for the boys rooms before the big make over so this pile is nearly 4 years old - between them they chain sawed and cut everything down into chunks big enough to go on the fire, bagged it all up for now, that corner all cleaned up and looking very tidy now, a sight I thought I would never ever see again.
(not anything g that looked like it had lead based paints on)
OK, its not all good as, unknown to me, Errant son had a hidden agenda. He had a home gym metal thingy in bits under the bed and it is now erected in that space - very ugly looking monstrosity it is including the vast plastic sheet that it gets covered in - deep sigh. I have made several suggestions that he might like to ebay it but these have all been ignored so far.

In the house he is still as messy as ever and I don't think this will ever change, whenever he is out I just round up his belongs and stuff up and it takes 4 trips up and downstairs to take it all back up to his bedroom.
If he is ever home for an entire day that room is going to have to be bottomed out as its becoming a health and safety issue - it looks like a room you would see on the Hoarders programme.

He is still eating like there is no tomorrow and we are constantly running out of the basics and now most of my back stock has gone. Some meals really work well like pasta bake, steak and ale pie, mince and potatoes, roast chicken.
Things like pizza night don't as it is just not filling enough - I did say this to Oh but he just would not take no for an answer - this was after wood cutting day. So that night Errant son had an entire pizza, followed by a bowl of mince and potatoes, followed by a big chunk of black forest gateaux and then before bed he had a tin of baked beans to finish off

So far the temp agency has given him days work in an industrial Velcro factory, a cement packing factory and on a couriers van shifting flooring about to a wedding venue. He seems happy with whatever they offer him.

On the work side he has this big interview today, fingers and toes crossed as this is absolute perfect company and bit of the country he wants to be in. He has one other application to go off and one place have not replied yet with an interview offer. He got very disheartened last week and said he would give up looking after this week but hopefully we have talked him out of this.

    Good morning.

I can't believe it - I am having to buy deodorant as my stash is empty :o (well, apart from the odd can of M1tchum which isn't my preferred flavour :().
It must be at least two years since I bought any (back massager plus 2 San3x for £5? 3 Dove Men+ for £6 if I recall, possibly the other way round).

I missed the deals in SD as my local didn't seem to have the RTC stock.

So "normal" offer price (-10% apg :D) it is then .

    Anon

Wish you lived closer Anon you could raid my stash to keep you going as Mr TS doesn't actually use the cans of deos I buy. :o

He has a mineral rock and only on his second one after several years. Bit expensive but they last so long.

So all my stash I give away to DD1's bf and now DD3's and there is still plenty to share around. I still have FCUK ones from B00ts few years back think they worked out almost free, I have the David Beckham ones from there too where you got back more in points than you spent. Plus all my SD ones.

I will join you on the diet, I am struggling to get in last years clothes aswell.:(

Make that 3 of us, I have started to cut down too but really struggling and only 2 months the graduation.

Had a good start last night, I missed out on my tea, as felt really sick, maybe prepacked sandwich 4 days ood was not such a good idea it was all I could taste in the evening. :o

But couldn't face anything healthy this morning as my stomach was rumbling because it was so empty so I've eaten a chocolate croissant left over from last week when DD's were all here.

Can I be number 4, none of last Summer's clothes fit and I have Nephew's wedding in August and then, fingers crossed, DD2's graduation in October. Personally I blame emerald :p (only joking of course, I have no will power)

The last few months with all the worry of DD2 I have been comfort eating loads, I'm still stressed about her being abroad alone so not sure how I will do but the same dress has doubled in price on Debs so I need to get into it.
