    Good Afternoon

Just wondering if anyone is willing to sign my petition re child maintenance assessment. The system needs reviewing, it makes a mockery of single parent Mums and Dads trying to make ends meet. I have 3 children, my ex left me for another women 2.5 years ago. He earns £27000 with performance related pay on top of this, and only has to give me £33 per child per week. His new wife to be, works full time, they have no other children. I am a Nurse, I work 31 hours a week and earn around £10,000 a year and some benefits, every penny I get is spent on my children and I do not begrudge it. There are 1000s of others in similar situations, lets see if we can make change happen.

Signed. although you're lucky to get that, I know someone similar situation who gets nothing. CSA keeps saying he isn't working when him & partner def. are, CSA has all info of their employer.. still nothing.

I'm sorry to hear you are struggling, he gives you almost £400 a month, nearly 5 grand a year, a fair amount, I would say, he needs to live too...

What happens about your housing costs? That amount per child is plenty to feed and clothe them.

Sorry to say this but I think £99 a week is a good amount. Hope that the kids still see their dad though despite all that's gone on.
    Good luck with your petition.

    Afternoon peeps.

    Good afternoon all.....

I'm having one of those days where I could end up being really excited or it could deflate around me...

After speaking to DS the other day about his car....He decided yesterday that it deserves a visit home (don't ask me why but as you know its his pride and joy and I think he thinks it's in need of him)
He texted last night to say he would be home this evening....so I texted him and said give us a call....
returning text said he was in the library so couldnt talk....ok so call us when the library lets you out....

still waiting for further communication from him....chances are he's forgotten and has possibly retreated to bed after this mornings lectures...or he could be on his way home

Who knows....I guess it's just a case of wait and see....

Louise...I'm sorry to hear of your CSA issues and it's very easy to be judgemental or ask why the payments are not sufficient...but at least their father does contribute which is a blessing compared to what some have to go through.....the fact that he has a new partner now presumably strengthens their finances but probably quite rightly shouldn't really have a bearing on his contribution to the children.

You dont say the ages of your children and in some ways as they get older they may become more expensive to maintain, but with that also comes the ability to start earning themselves.
Look at the positives...you have 3 lovely kids who no doubt think the world of their mum.

    I sinned this morning too...

but more about that on the weekly toiletry update....at the moment I'm still in denial...but Locarr will be proud of me...I finally found some bits in the S 50p event!

:)My English friend living in the USA posted this on her FB

and her US friends wanted to know what knackered meant

    :rotfl::rotfl:

I've seen something similar but with the message that the Dof E is just making sure he doesn't have to meet Donald Trump during any state visit......

I'm hoping that this may also signal a slowing down for our lovely Queen...it's going to be very strange if she's off on visits on her own....my hope is that some of the other will step into the forefront more....
