So he has nothing to do with the kids, never sees them, never takes them out. I have a mortagae to pay, this doesn't even cover the mortagage. He has no mortagage and he has his new partners wage, the two of them have 4 times each month what I have with my 3 children, please don't worry about him !
I think in life you have to focus on the positive things you do have rather than fixating on the things you dont have and getting bitter and twisted.
You have a house and a mortage and a paying job, all very good.
You are sole parent to your three children - Ok so their Dad has his own seperate life now and does not want contact, well that is his choice and totally his loss, he may regret it later but again that is his problem. Dont get wound up about it, far better to put your energies into your three than wasting angst on things you cant control.
The ammount he gives may not be suffient - could you negociate for extra costs for education purposes eg school uniform keep the receipts together and ask if he would go halves, or if there is an expensive school trip your Ex could pay for half or if someone needs dental braces you coukd share the costs etc
Ok your kids might lack some material things but you can make up for this in so many other ways with your love and attention
anyway, just some thoughts ...“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
Blooming heck it doesn't rain but pour.
Poor Dad & his urine infection from a week ago, wrong tablets given  So again call out.
Then he collapsed on the tiled floor, as his legs are bad from infection at 8pm - Mum did the red button call as she can't lift him.
11pm no one has come, and Mum spots their neighbour returning home.
He very kindly comes over & stays on the sofa next to Dad (on the floor) This is after a long day working in London :A
5am the paramedics arrive from Chichester ...
I just suppose Dad was triaged as non emergencyI feel guilty as I'm not there
Hope your dad ad sister make speedy recoveries xxHas anyone risked a sharpie shop today?Good Afternoon
Just wondering if anyone is willing to sign my petition re child maintenance assessment. The system needs reviewing, it makes a mockery of single parent Mums and Dads trying to make ends meet. I have 3 children, my ex left me for another women 2.5 years ago. He earns £27000 with performance related pay on top of this, and only has to give me £33 per child per week. His new wife to be, works full time, they have no other children. I am a Nurse, I work 31 hours a week and earn around £10,000 a year and some benefits, every penny I get is spent on my children and I do not begrudge it. There are 1000s of others in similar situations, lets see if we can make change happen.
You will find it in the campaigns corner here is the link

Am I right in thinking that the reduced cider is mostly flavoured....I'm not one to not look a cheap gifthorse in the mouth but I dont really like the berry flavours and the pear is too sweet.....this one might be best avoided by me
I tried something that was strawberry and lime I think and it just was like liquid sherbert....if its going to be cider then it's got to taste like cider in my book....
