morning all, did anyone manage any sleep at all?
we are over cast this morning as usual but the sun is making an effort.A nasty wind has also started.
It's the Nantwich show today and traditionally it rains, some years it's called off altogether so we may at least get some cooling showers later
biting my tongue off not to say something negative about the heat In the olden days when we had proper summers after a week or so of high temps we got used to it and adapted but now we only get a few days in a row we never get acclimatised
finding something to wear is a challenge. Its too hot for jeans and literally every dress in the wardrobe won't fit as it all dates back to when I was lithe and slim before hormones took over, the last time we had a summer. Yesterday I had to resort to the cruise dress wardrobe to find something cool and cotton that would fit
knee length skirts are fine for the garden, no one about to see me head first in a flower bed, rear in the airbut then I need to find something respectable for going out later, unless it rains
and all the effort of finding something to put on puts you even more into a sweat
That's an interesting image mhoc lol
Hope Stanleyboy is OK hampy
Off to store wood before it gets soaked . Ok here to far though0 -

I love a good thunder and lightning storm, only ever witnessed three good storms though. Would love to catch a lightening strike on camera.

You know what you've done don't ya'You swiped down the centre of the keyboard with a finger to separate it. Does make it easier for thumb typing
Cant for the life of me remember how to put it back
Edit: just drag the two sides of the keyboard with two fingers/thumbs in opposite directions. Then push together again to reunite.
or Settings>General>Keyboard>Split Keyboard>Off.Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

. He's at the animal hospital now awaiting surgery this morning, he has a very unusual break in his left hind knee cap as they are usually transverse, his is down the patella. Our normal vet x-rayed him yesterday and have referred him to an orthopaedic surgeon as they don't have drills small enough to pin it.
Bless him, he came in crying 10 days ago and was hobbling about. Took him straight to vets and they diagnosed a cat bite and put him on antibiotics and pain killers. Took him back a week later as still hobbling about but didn't appear to be in distress as he's been climbing fences and jumping on and off bar stools .
We have cover up to 2k per illness which vet is aware of and thinks it will come in less than that. If not we'll just have to swallow. Can't get him out of my mind, he's my 4th baby
Will let you know how he gets on
Fingers crossed for Stanley Boys op xxThere's no place like home
